I'm pretty sure someone she met at the Renaissance Fair did it. I can find out, though. She'd had it for a while and could never figure out where to wear it. Turns out, fancy-dress party with the theme "Brave New World" was the perfect place!

The bone marrow test showed nothing except the cancer, which is kind of good news, since some of the possibilities would have involved things like bone marrow transplants.

I may be stuck in a Catch-22. The chemo, which seems to be doing a good job at knocking back the cancer in the bones, also causes anemia in 20% or so of the people taking it. I talked about this with my oncologist last week, and he thinks we need to stay the course with this chemo, even though he recognizes my current situation sucks.

Nora was equally awesome.

That's a tough one, Ginger.

That's the sexiest cause of anemia, for sure. "May you suffer anemia only for a few hours, and only with delightful memories."

brillig

So you're avoiding a transfusion for now? Excellent.

I'm apparently on a mission to warn every woman I know in meatspace that bra sizing is TOTALLY DIFFERENT so that they are warned before encountering it in the wild. One of my male coworkers (and fb friend) thanked me for openly discussing this issues. He's been very much enjoying the conversations. And photos. Probably mostly the photos.

No, I'm not avoiding transfusions. The reason I'm in a funk today is that I'll be spending the next two days getting another damn transfusion. I seem to be settling into an every-two-weeks transfusion schedule, which means I have maybe seven days out of every 14 during which I can accomplish anything.
