I can't imagine that she would be anything other than chuffed by buffistas sporting her art in permanent form.
eta: location might be a factor, tho. Maybe not in buttcrack.
eata: as someone who didn't know her very well, the eta about location could be a totally wrong assumption. Tattoos in buttcracks would have made a great thread topic
I was gonna go arm or shoulder...
A dragonfly tattoo sounds perfect.
I was asked today about when I was going to finally get a tattoo. I tried playing the "I'm too old" card but it wasn't flying. But weirdly the more my body racks up scars, the less need I feel for a tattoo.
At my age and condition, I feel like a tattoo is like putting a Ming vase on a splintery old orange crate. The display space is not up to the quality of the art.
But the most important question, sj: will the Thai be vegetarian?
Nope. We are all omnivores.
I am totally an omnivore, but I can never pass up tofu in pad thai or pad see eeiw (which I had for lunch yesterday...and leftovers for breakfast today). LOVE it all pan-fried and crispy.
I know there are good tattoo artists in Vermont
askye, I don't know how long of a drive it would be from where you live to Waterbury, but Corey at Good Ink Tattoo (which is in Waterbury) is *excellent.* I recommend him unreservedly. He did mine, and my Dad's, and virtually all of my brother's ink, which is stunning.
Waterbury is a half hour or so away, I thought it was furhter but I double checked.
So totally doable. I checked out their website and I'll have to send an email asking about rates and stuff like that.
I don't even know where I'd put the tattoo.
Steph, I love that your family has a family tattoo artist.
It would be so funny if people thought we were having this spooky seance, because we dress for it at f2fs, and it's a bunch of people comparing haircuts and being all "Hey, girl..."

We're going to be in Vermont in April for my brother's graduation (askye, once we know the dates for sure, I'll let you know, and hopefully we can meet up!), and my dad is planning to get 2 more tattoos while we're there (one on each arm, small ones; one for his mom and one for his dad), because then my brother and SiL are moving to Denver, and away from the family tattoo artist.

*Totally* worth the drive. I'd probably even drive an hour to have Corey do tattoo work on me. Their website and FB page has tons of photos of their work.
