[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Steph, I love that your family has a family tattoo artist.

We're going to be in Vermont in April for my brother's graduation (askye, once we know the dates for sure, I'll let you know, and hopefully we can meet up!), and my dad is planning to get 2 more tattoos while we're there (one on each arm, small ones; one for his mom and one for his dad), because then my brother and SiL are moving to Denver, and away from the family tattoo artist.

So totally doable. I checked out their website and I'll have to send an email asking about rates and stuff like that.

*Totally* worth the drive. I'd probably even drive an hour to have Corey do tattoo work on me. Their website and FB page has tons of photos of their work.

Always Anti-fascist!

ION, I will be so happy when the damn Super Bowl is over and the the local news can stop having rich asshole-gasms. Cause for me it's "Woo hoo, another party I'm not invited to," (Not that it's a loss, once we get past FNL, I'm out anyway, but it really doesn't do anything for us proles.) Also, talking to my brother is super- annoying sometimes. For an allegedly grown person, he is terrible at paying attention to stuff that he is not absolutely fascinated by. Like, long story, but I am, like, two degrees from somebody who used to be on a show he really is obsessed with. You'd think you'd at least say "Small world," or something, wouldn't you? Sometimes his single state is not mysterious.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Is he the guy that did your back?

He is -- he drew that lotus freehand. I mean, on the stencil dealie first, not right on my back like "Hey, let me just bust out with a lotus here." What I'm saying is, it wasn't pre-existing art out of the samples on the wall. I'm tempted to have him color it in when we go up there, but I don't feel a burning need for it to happen.

Thrive to spite them

Definitly let me know when you'll be here and I'm sure we can meet up. With enough notice I can carve out time on my schedule.

And how can I go wrong with the guy who is your family tattoo artist!

Did you and Will (or just Will?) go to the Alchemist pub when it was open? Because that's where Good Ink is, just upstairs.

Thrive to spite them

We went. Will met Nora and Tom there before I moved up and the went with Mom when I first moved up and I think one other time before it closed. We've also been to The Prohibition Pig so I've been under the tattoo parlor bit not in it. I remember seeing a sign for it.

Will and I actually disagreed on how many times we'd been to The Alchemist because he kept thinking I was there when he met Nora and Tom.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

It just occurred to me that I might like a map of Middle Earth for a tatoo, If I ever got one. If I got it done on my back, there could be some spectacular detail. Of course, I wouldn't be able to see it.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Of course, I wouldn't be able to see it.

That is the problem with back pieces. I occasionally forget I have wings across my shoulders/upper back.

I forget about mine all the time now.
