I know I'm a bad poet, but I'm a good man. All I ask is that... is that you try to see me—

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Yeah, it's one of her dragonflies that I've loved since forever, too. Good idea about donating. I'll get a dragonfly, of some sort, for her, even if it's not hers.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I've been grading quizzes. I don't like grading quizzes.

My hips hurt. I don't like that, either. I'm going to call my rheumatologist tomorrow to make an appointment.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Plei, I'm with smonster. ita would be pleased. You're desiring to permanently carry her artwork on your body forever. It's the ultimate validation of her skill.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I bought a talisman a year or year and a half ago for Dad's Mini that I have now. It's a silver dragonfly on blue and it has always reminded me of ita.

And I've considered her dragonfly for a tattoo as well.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

I can't imagine that she would be anything other than chuffed by buffistas sporting her art in permanent form.

eta: location might be a factor, tho. Maybe not in buttcrack.

eata: as someone who didn't know her very well, the eta about location could be a totally wrong assumption. Tattoos in buttcracks would have made a great thread topic

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

A dragonfly tattoo sounds perfect.

I was asked today about when I was going to finally get a tattoo. I tried playing the "I'm too old" card but it wasn't flying. But weirdly the more my body racks up scars, the less need I feel for a tattoo.

brillig

At my age and condition, I feel like a tattoo is like putting a Ming vase on a splintery old orange crate. The display space is not up to the quality of the art.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

But the most important question, sj: will the Thai be vegetarian?

Nope. We are all omnivores.

I am totally an omnivore, but I can never pass up tofu in pad thai or pad see eeiw (which I had for lunch yesterday...and leftovers for breakfast today). LOVE it all pan-fried and crispy.

I know there are good tattoo artists in Vermont

askye, I don't know how long of a drive it would be from where you live to Waterbury, but Corey at Good Ink Tattoo (which is in Waterbury) is *excellent.* I recommend him unreservedly. He did mine, and my Dad's, and virtually all of my brother's ink, which is stunning.
