Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I'll clean your bathroom.

Wow, how I have missed things like promising scary internet people I'll happily clean their bathroom.

PMM and Teppy need a show. Killing me.

Steph:

I just had a weird conversation with my Mom where she mentioned, in an oh-so-casual-but-not-casual-enough way, that it would be okay if I were a lesbian.

I apparently need a boy toy to flaunt around to maintain my hetgirl cred with my damn family. Honestly. You don't date for, what, 2 1/2 years, and your family thinks you're gay?

PMM:

Heh. What did you tell your mom?

Steph:

This is a direct quote: "I still like dick."

Its very hard, after spending most of my internet time on Facebook in recent years, to live without a like button. I need something bigger than a like button. A great big glittery button that plays a jaunty tune when pressed?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

See? one person's abhorrance (i.e., the vacuum) is another's reasonably do-able chore.

This a why it is conversation #85. It is boggling that others will happily do what we loathe and loathe what we'd happily enough do but then you think about it and it's Running a Home Tetris. We could totally have Buffista Island if we made all the pieces fit.

Callaluna, agreed!

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

I finally got a vacuum that makes me like vacuuming. Will gladly trade services for a good mopping!

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I don't mind vacuuming, and I can handle dishes and laundry with only minimal complaint. But I hate dusting. It just doesn't happen at my place unless I'm gonna have people over and it's reached the point of terminal embarrassment. I love gardening, though.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

My food that was supposed to be delivered today actually got delivered today! I'm surprised. And it looks pretty good, too -- this is a place that sends you a week's worth of frozen meals at a time. (The next few months are ridiculously busy for me, and I'm just not going to have the time or the energy to cook, so getting a box of meals that I just need to heat up seemed like it could work.) The portion sizes look kind of small, but I'll see how it goes. Tomorrow, I've got a muffin for breakfast, lentil soup for lunch, and maple-glazed tofu with kale and cauliflower for dinner, and some granola for a snack.

Tomorrow, I am absolutely going to clean up my living room. I think I'll have to do the thing again where I say on Facebook that I'll post a photo at a certain time. I can't get myself to stick to it unless I've got some kind of deadline.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

As long as someone does my ironing and runs stuff to/from the dry cleaner, I will HAPPILY take on any other household chores.

Thrive to spite them

I hate all chores. Well maybe not hate, loathe and try to do without.

And damnit i forgot to buy a new dustpan AGAIN. I need one my other disappeared and using a piece of cardboard isn't really cutting it. Mr. R fell down on hard floor vacuuming as well.

My pants from Land's End came today! They are going to be returned to Sears on Monday! I don't know how, but they are about a half size too small in the waist and feel like a size too big every where else. However the thermaskin long underwear is great.
