Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
If you think he can unzip, do you think there's a way to twist tie the zipper closed?
My uncle's 3 month old kitten has already figured out how to open their doors so a motivated cat can do anything.
I had to come home from work early because I over did it with the - my IC Flare i s over ! My uit is gone! I'll just eat whatever! Only I have a UTI (don't know how I got it) and the start of more pain. The big problem is running to the restroom. we were so busy and I lied to a customer and said I needed to check something in the back just so I could get to the restroom before I couldn't hold it.
After that I found the manager and told them I know it's bad timing and we're slammed, but I have to go to to the doctor otherwise things will get worse and I'll be out for a week. So now I'm waiting for the doctor to either decide to call in a script for me or have me come in.
I hope the doctor comes through for you, askye, and that you feel better quickly.
The zip closure on the kennel has two zipper pulls. When Daniel put Harvey in his house last night, he had the two zipper pulls meet at a bottom corner where it is easy for Harvey to get the leverage to nose the zipper open. I think if we close the zipper at a top corner, he won't be able to get it open so easily. It seems to work that way with the soft-sided carrier. If he manages to get out again then we'll try securing the pulls to one another with a twist tie or something.
I just got a text from the pharmacy so I'm off to get more antibiotics.
I have my antibiotics, I have my aloe. I have more water. I'm trying to think about how much water Is hould be drinking, any time I wonder Ijust drink more water.
And I'm being realistic about cooking magazines and cookbooks I have. First I've barely cooked since I've moved and second, well, this IC thing is going to keep me restricted and hanging on to coookbooks/magazines I haven't used SINCE I GOT THEM however many years ago is just hoarding at this point.
I am looking through to see if there are any recipes in the magazines that will either work or are easily modified that I'd actually eat. Mostly the answer is no. The ones I like there's no way to modify. So in the Get Rid of Bin they are going.
I hope the drugs get to work quick for you askye.
So true story: I had a scrumptious dinner with the lovely Pix and NoiseDesign this evening. This was in itself a delightful event, however the bestest part happened upon my arrival home.
I had told Pix that I would need to mark my leftover crab legs as asparagus or something to keep it safe from the boys. Pix cleverly labeled the box "Kale Salad" for the quick assist. Upon arrival home we found my son Bobby in the driveway of our house. He took the leftover box out of the back seat, reads the top, and says....
Bleh, who eats Kale Salad?
It was perfect!
Laura, I love that story!
Askye, I'm sorry you are still having to deal with this. I hope you are feeling better soon.
Laura, that is awesome (both the story and the dinner!)
Dinner with Pix and ND for the win.
As for cookbooks, for me it would be a good idea to keep at least one general cookbook. I have two. A "Mennonite Community Cookbook" which I got at a library sale when I was in college. I like the old fashioned country cooking - especially as there are plenty of meatless dishes (I was a vegetarian at the time. And last summer I found at a garage sale a "Better Homes & Gardens Cookbook" 3 ring binder, the same edition that my mom had when I was growing up, that I learned to cook out of. If I had to choose only one, the BHG would go out the window, but I love it, and have in fact used it this year. If I need a recipe that is not in one of these, and I do not have in my collection of recipe cards, there is always Google. I think most people could get by with just Google.
Laura, that completely made my day. Hilarious!
