Part of it is that I've got a pretty strong prescription, so I have to get the special thin lenses to avoid them being like half an inch thick. (I'm at about -3.75 in one eye, and -4.50 in the other.
Hahahah! I laugh at your puny prescriptions! Nah, after my surgery I don't really need glasses, but bought several pairs at Zenni just because I COULD, for the first time--and even do the cheap ones! Previously I was at a -13 with astigmatism. :(
1. Nosy bitch.
2. Larabar is healthy food, dammit.
My sister got us a Costco membership for Xmas. (She gave it to us early.) I am ridiculously excited about it.
Still a bitch.
I'm watching Peter Pan. It's terrible, but snarking is fun.
I saw one comment I loved: Allison Williams was good but not great. Christopher Walken was great but not good.
Not Strixy or her sister on the bitch comment.
Well... not THAT kind of bitch.
I thought Christopher Walken was terrible. I mean, it's Captain Hook. You go big or go home. He seemed like he was just phoning it in, when we all know that Christopher Walken can do utterly ridiculous if he wants to.
As for the Indian stuff, it seemed like they did the best they could with the material they had to work with, including completely re-writing "Ugg-a-Wugg," but really, there's not much you can do with that source material.
Also, wow, did Barrie have Issues about women. If there was a drinking game with the word "mother," everyone would be passed out by the end of the first act. (Plus, Freud would certainly have a field day with "We'll murder all the boys and take the Wendy for a mother!")
If I saw someone heading into the office at this time of the semester with a Larabar and a chips, I'd think "must be grading" not "must be lunch," but that's just me.
Speaking of glasses Will has an eye exam Friday. He doesn't remember the last time he had his eyes checked but he's been paying for vision insurance and is using it.
I had therapy. Talked about my shrink issues. My therapist had tried to contact my shrink but she forgot to have me sign a release so I did that. Shrink wants me to taper off medication (he doesn't believe I have bipolar disorder) and in our original conversations he was talking about starting the tapering off process at this point. A few months into therapy was his thing. My therapist was like nope. In her view I need at least a year before it should be discussed. And she is going to put feelers out for shrinks taking patients.
So it was productive mostly. Then Will and I came back and got super romantic by clearing the snow and sleet off my car and the hedges and shoveling my car out. I want a snow blower but unfortunately there isn't a good place to store one.
