If I saw someone heading into the office at this time of the semester with a Larabar and a chips, I'd think "must be grading" not "must be lunch," but that's just me.
Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Speaking of glasses Will has an eye exam Friday. He doesn't remember the last time he had his eyes checked but he's been paying for vision insurance and is using it.
I had therapy. Talked about my shrink issues. My therapist had tried to contact my shrink but she forgot to have me sign a release so I did that. Shrink wants me to taper off medication (he doesn't believe I have bipolar disorder) and in our original conversations he was talking about starting the tapering off process at this point. A few months into therapy was his thing. My therapist was like nope. In her view I need at least a year before it should be discussed. And she is going to put feelers out for shrinks taking patients.
So it was productive mostly. Then Will and I came back and got super romantic by clearing the snow and sleet off my car and the hedges and shoveling my car out. I want a snow blower but unfortunately there isn't a good place to store one.
Previously I was at a -13 with astigmatism
meara, you win. I'm at a -10 and thought I'd get the bad vision trophy, but I accept defeat.

That's love, right there.

Yeah, sadly not a great trophy to get! But I will gladly now relinquish it--the eye surgery was about $5K, but worth every penny.
Turns out the snow in the ground is more ice than snow. My car's tires just spun when u tried to move my car. Going to deal with this before work. I'm frustrate because I'm not prepared for winter and I put off doing some prep work because of the pain I was in.

My nearly-matched -3.75's will sit quietly and not whine. At all.
I went in to get new glasses to use up FSA money a while back and the doctor gave me the side eye when I told him I'd lost my old ones two-to-three years prior. Then he tested my eyes and just said "Oh."
But I do feel like I'm on the cusp on needing to check out the reading glasses racks at the Walgreens. (You were right, Mom! All that reading under the covers by flashlight did ruin my eyes.)
My astigmatism is so slight that the doctor couldn't really detect it this time, but in the notes it shows he himself diagnosed it a couple of years ago.

For the past 5 years or so, every year my optometrist has said my close up sight was fine, but at about 43 I'd probably start to need reading glasses. Guess what age I am now? Guess who can (mostly) read okay with regular contacts in, but has started to need glasses for little stuff like fixing jewelry clasps? Last time I was in I accused him of voodoo and gave him a hard time for cursing me.
Doc said I should only require reading glasses after the surgery. I disbelieve, considering how bad my eyes are.
