Costco turns out to be a lot cheaper. Like 63 instead of 150. Even if I have to buy a 55 dollar costco card I still come out ahead. But if I borrow a neighbors card, then I save more than half. How strongly does Costco enforce the card having the same name as your ID or prescription? I can pay cash using someone else's Costcxo card, but of course my own name will be on the prescription.

Do you need to be a Costco member to use their optometry service? Because you don't need to be a member to use their pharmacy. (I am not a Costco member, so I have no idea.)

Typo, they will enforce it. But you can buy the glasses, and then get a refund in full on the membership at any time. I do find Costco useful for lots of other things though, and for bulk goods the prices cannot be beat. For just myself, my savings are greater than the membership fee every year.

Used to be for me, but the 20 minute drive is painful these days so I wont use up a membership. The refund idea is great. Yeah costco by law must sell prescriptions to all comers without requiring membership wand without price descrimination. I'll check and see if that is true of optical prescriptions.

checked. Can get exam at costco but not glasses. If I can get someone to buy me a gift card and pay them back I could use that.

I am so jealous of you people without astigmatism. I pay about $400 for my glasses.

I'm now in the zone where when my RX changes I need to get new regular glasses which are progressives (Bifocal), then another pair that is strictly for working at my computer, and then another pair of RX sunglasses for driving. I get really bad headaches if I try to drive without sunglasses. The doc thinks the next time my RX changes I'll also need progressive lenses on my sunglasses so that I'll be able to read the dashboard, and see the road.

It usually ends up costing $850 to $1500 to get everything done.

I'm at this weird state with my eyes - in order to see clearly far away (like when I'm driving) I can't see close up with my glasses, but it's not bad enough for bifocals at this point.

Plus I have this weird thing where they put a prism in one lens and it kind of helps but not alot. Currently not helping because the bottom of my computer monitor is doubled and slightly overlapping, at an angle (it's weird).

I made it through today wtihout any pain except back pain. I have one more dose of the antibiotics and it seems a combination of Azo, anti acid and D-Mannose plus the super plain diet is keeping things managable.

Cool perk of work is doing online learnings and a lot of those will entry you for a prize. I won something that wasn't useful (it's a logitech thing, you put this thing in your vent, then put your phone in the special case and the case and the thing are magnitized and they hold. Only they don't make it for the Note 4). Today I came home to find my Amazon package completely soggy (although the book inside was okay) and a mystery package. From Android! I got a box thing I can't figure out what it's for, some kind of 3D thing, a Lolipop, a $10 Google Play gift card and a thing to see if I get points for someting work related and a tote bag.

It's nice coming home to surprise stuff.

Also it didn't snow as much as I feared so the drive home was fine and no shoveling was required. It's mostly slush out there.

I finished setting up the scantrons, so I now have a stack of scantrons with a student's ID number coded into each one. Tomorrow, I'll code in the grades.
