Our wings are not tired.

Did you use the stuff the you tape around the edges then use the hairdryer? I used that up north and it worked quite well.

So, I've been thinking about...not exactly wearing make up, but maybe wearing something like a CC cream or BB cream, I was going to say tinted moisterizer but I don't think that's a thing.

Make up is one of those things I only did sparodically because I never took the time (or wanted to take the time) to learn how to do but also because my face tends to sweat when putting on foundation. I evne tried it when I first moved up to Vermont in winter and- face sweat. But I'd like a more even skintone. The other problem I have had is finding something that's light enough. Anything that is "light to medium" is going to be too dark.

Does anyone have any recommendations for some kind of BB cream or CC cream, something that's just simple to use, very sheer coverage, and light in color.

Hil in my last place I did the plastic sheeting thing, but the widnows were funky and it was hard to put that on. So I resorted to buying cheap fleece blankets (or the "make your own cut and tie fleece blanket kits") and hanging those over the windows. That helped keep things warm. I had to put small nails in to hang them and I don't know if you can do that at your place, but I've also used duct tape to keep some in place.

Tinted moisturizer is a thing. Unfortunately, it is a thing I have no experience with. I've always used a heavier foundation.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

It is a thing and it is awesome. And there are BB versions.

It is! I don't wear makeup myself because of the warm humid climate thing, but I have seen them when looking at sunscreen moisturizers.

eta: I didn't even know there was a BB CC etc system. Just Googled. Learned something new.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Yeah. Well, I didn't do the hairdryer part, because it didn't do anything when I tried it last year. I think my hairdryer doesn't get hot enough to shrink the shrink wrap.

The hairdryer really stretches it out so it is clearer, but probably no difference for insulation.

I worked for a pool construction company when I lived it Pittsburgh. We were so cold in our office with its crappy old windows that we took the pool cover material (like super thick bubble wrap) and covered the windows. Our boss was not amused, but it was too late since it was already cut up and duct taped over the drafty windows. Worked great.

BB/CC cream really is just tinted moisturizer. In some cases it's a bit more coverage than a tinted moisturizer, or has SPF where a moisturizer might not, but...yeah.

If you want to go super cheap, at Target the "Elf" line of cosmetics is super cheap, and I've heard good things--this last trip I forgot all my liquid baggie items, and bought some $2 lipstick and $3 BB cream!

There isn't a Target in Vermont, closest one is across the Lake. But hey that's what the internet is for!
