BB/CC cream really is just tinted moisturizer. In some cases it's a bit more coverage than a tinted moisturizer, or has SPF where a moisturizer might not, but...yeah.

If you want to go super cheap, at Target the "Elf" line of cosmetics is super cheap, and I've heard good things--this last trip I forgot all my liquid baggie items, and bought some $2 lipstick and $3 BB cream!

Thrive to spite them

There isn't a Target in Vermont, closest one is across the Lake. But hey that's what the internet is for!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

My kitchen has one wall that's practically floor-to-ceiling windows. I have no idea how to deal with that. The metal blinds on the windows do insulate them somewhat, but mostly, I just keep the door to the kitchen closed, and don't cook much during the winter.

The L"Oreal BB cream is pretty good. It's $8 at Target. (It's almost twice that in Canada.)

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I bought a tube of the L'Oreal BB in Fair. I like it. It comes out of the tube white, with teeny tiny darker beads in it, and it matches my very fair skin very well. It covers just a little, it doesn't look (or feel) like I'm wearing make-up but it smooths out my skin tone, which is what I wanted.

I have a friend who's always complaining about how her skin looks, but she refuses to wear any make-up or try any skin care products. She hates the way they feel and they all break her out. But she hasn't tried any in about 25 years, and she doesn't believe me when I tell her they aren't like they used to be. The technology has improved a lot.

All I want is a not full size but still an actual messenger style bag.
If you get a line on one, I'd love to hear about it. I'd like my next purse to be similar to that. (Or maybe saddlebag style, if I can find one that'll hold both my iPad and my wallet, with a cross-body strap.)

I found one at TJ Maxx that was perfect except for the $100+ price tag. I wish now I had just bought it because I really loved it and would have been happy with it. I just couldn't justify the price and then when I went back to see if it was on clearance it was gone.

I keep finding things that are either the structure or style I want but not the size or the size but not the structure or style. They were in style or at least kind of in style and now they aren't. The satchel style thing is really big right now and the only ones of those I've found that I'd be willing to buy are by Zac Posen or Michael Kors, which have been even more expensive.

Yeah, I'd be looking for something under $30. Maybe the Posen and Kors style purses will have a trickle down effect on styles.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

BB cream is a bit more coverage than a tinted moisturizer, and it has more skin benefits. CC cream is color-correcting and good if you want to even out skin tone if you tend to be red or ruddy. It's not so good at evening out yellow undertones.

If you tend to sweat a lot, make sure you look for something that has mattifying abilities, or use a loose powder to set the tinted moisturizer/BB/CC cream. If you use a sponge or brush to apply it, it will also help counteract the sweat.

(Yeah, I don't think that makeup junkie tag is EVER going to close.)

Bubble wrap also works very well as an insulator. And you can apply it just by spritzing water on the window and sticking the bubble wrap to it.
