Yay askye! You deserved a better break from the dental world after dealing with so many scumtoads.
Buffy ,'Empty Places'
Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Yay for a better experience, askye! I also am missing a molar, and need to start the implant procedure soon, but not until I get a full-time job.
Strix, one of my parent's cats went for a wander (they live in a mobile home park out in the desert) for three weeks, and then showed back up again like nothing had happened. I hope Cosmo is just taking the senic route back home.
I just told the wonder puppy, "This is why you are vaccinated for lepto!" I dumped her outside water and refilled it. She lapped at the pools of old water on concrete. She's never met a sketchy water source that she doesn't want to stick her nose into. Seriously clean, fresh water? Eh, she'll drink it if it's all she can get to but where is the sense of adventure wth that?
Sounds like a good dental day, askye. Recover easily. And I might cross the country to use your dentist. They sound awesome.
Zoe has similar tastes in water, although for unknown reasons she doesn't go for the toilet like many of my prior pups.
Yay for getting the dental work done, askye! I am remiss in that department. Very remiss.
I'm glad the dental went well, considering everything, askye.
Apparently I wasn't the only one with weird customers tonight. I was talking to one of the women who work at the library on the way out and she said she also had a very weird night.
askye, so glad it went well and wasn't stressful!
Once I get my world a bit more stable, I've got to travel to meet some of you folks.
Connie, I have a nice comfortable spare bed, if you don't mind cats.
So one day she put food coloring on a q-tip and stuck it in the trap and painted the mouse's belly. Sure enough, same mouse.
Hell, at that point, it's a pet. Put it in a box and name it George.
I think it's the same 2 stinkbugs that come inside, and then we catch them and release them [because if you kill them, they stink], and then they come back inside. Although I guess we could flush them.
I grab them in a tissue and flush them. No stink. Catch-and-release is for bugs I like, like praying mantises.
askye, I'm so glad this finally went well for you, after all the worry and bad communication beforehand. I understand about the terrible fear of being perceived as a less-worthy person because of a missing tooth. In fact, when I came to Bitches with my own teary fears, I think it was Teppy who calmed me down. And I'm so glad Will's been with you through this when you needed him.
Maria, I'm glad you're getting some factual closure, and I'm thrilled you have a new someone in your life, who's good to you.
I agree people are scum. StY was present when his best friend accidentally shot himself in the head. They were both 16. The friend's family accused StY of having done it, despite all the physical evidence. They followed him whenever he went out. His friends rallied around and made sure he was never alone. The parents stopped him on the street and yelled accusations at him. He was sixteen, and had just traumatically lost his best friend. People can suck. But all the great kids who supported him, and the rest of the family, proved that people can be pretty great, too. I'm sorry you had to deal with Rob's parents, on top of your own grief.
We seldom had mice at the old house, mainly because of the cats. We've had a few here, usually one or two every fall, but traps and vigilance keep it down to that.
Good grief, what an awful experience for StY at such a young age. I'm glad he was surrounded with love and support.
Florida is always a nice winter escape, Connie and others. Always have room for visitors.
Once I get my world a bit more stable, I've got to travel to meet some of you folks.
I'd love to meet you, too. Wherever I may be at that point.
