I had a root canal last year...it sucked, but somehow less than advertised, not that I'm recommending them.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Tooth~ma, askye.
I'm in Illinois now. In about an hour I'll be meeting part of the search committee for dinner. I always forget how much I like these nice, open spaces. It's like something in my psyche uncramps.

In terms of the nail polish box, it is still in Seattle. Assuming we can get it out of Seattle, can people let me know if they are still interested in participating and/or if someone else would like to take over the organizing?
in case you were wondering what to wear for Halloween.
The rabbi at the synagogue I used to attend in DC was arrested for setting up a hidden camera in the women's showers at the mikveh. This is just creepy.
The Red Cross site [link] says 3 months. It's 6 months for certain European countries.

And now it turns out that the Rabbinical Council of America had investigated him twice before -- once because it was alleged that he was staying overnight in a hotel room with a woman who was not his wife, and once for something about some conversions he oversaw where they're being really vague about the details of what the issue was, but they say it wasn't anything sexual in nature -- but with the hotel thing, they decided they didn't have enough evidence to do anything, and I'm not quite sure what happened with the conversion thing.
I'd gone to discussion groups he led on the role of women in Judaism. His views, which I mostly didn't agree with but I appreciated how much thought had obviously gone into them, were toward the more liberal edge of Orthodoxy.
He also taught some classes at the University of Maryland. My cousin had him as a professor for a class called Law and Ethics.
