Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I donated at Dragoncon. And almost passed out.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

My mother got really hurt the last time she donated

If possible, get a phlebotomist and not a nurse at a blood drive. You want the person who sticks people all day long day after day. Most nurses don't have nearly that much practice.

I first donated blood to meet Robert Heinlein at MidAmericon.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I haven't been able to donate blood for the past few years because I keep getting tattoos, within 12 months of each other. But if I don't get new ink by December, I should go donate.

Ann, that's a ferret.

This. I donated blood once, during my freshman year of college. I had an hour and a half between classes. The nurse took forever and never did find a good blood vessel. By the time they finished drawing blood, I was late for my next class. I ran there (without waiting for juice and cookies), which was a big mistake. I didn't pass out, but it was a near thing.

Always Anti-fascist!

Dental--Ma.(I used it last year, but it should still be good, right?) There are two things that I probably should stop thinking about Kentucky's Senate Candidate, right? 1. Wow, Boyd Crowder's new Senator! 2. Her hair is shiny enough that she could be a green ball of energy.(But I really am a srs activist)

Always Anti-fascist!

I had a root canal last year...it sucked, but somehow less than advertised, not that I'm recommending them.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Tooth~ma, askye.

I'm in Illinois now. In about an hour I'll be meeting part of the search committee for dinner. I always forget how much I like these nice, open spaces. It's like something in my psyche uncramps.
