'War Stories'

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

WHERE IS MY TIARA

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Speaking of having more red blood cells, I saw my hematologist today and I am up to 13.5. This is from the low of 5 which landed me in the hospital in March. So, yay!

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Yay!

13.5. That sounds lovely. How did you get out of bed at 5?

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Mmmmmm, red blood cells. That's the good stuff.

Laura speaks for me. And I have reason to believe he for whose homage this thread was created Lo, these many years ago would concur. Should I have used Pooh case? And speaking of Pooh case, there's a noun phrase which should never, ever be verbed. Y'all don't know how close I came to doing that. You're welcome.

Complete denial. I kept going to work but noticed it was getting harder to walk or raise my arms, I thought I had the flu or at worst a heart problem.

The emergency room doctor seem really pissed with me.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

It's all about the blood, children.

More blood please.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Ugh, Ginger, I am totally phobic of needles and have thus never given blood, but now I am thinking of doing so in honor of you. I haven't had ink done in 3 years, so I should be good, right?

Speaking of medical stuff, I have 1st mammo on Thursday, and a blood draw to test my cholesterol, etc. on Friday. Good thing the draw is at 4 pm; I can easily fast that long.

I am a faint-at-the-sight-of-blood person, but now that I've been on the receiving end of 2 transfusions, I asked my doctor how soon before I could give blood. he said a year. Gives me time to work up the nerve.

Can you give blood if you take a tranq?

The status is NOT quo.

I just donated last month and can’t donate again until after my half marathon in a couple of weeks, but I will be going in again in November.

I made the mistake of trying to run the day after I donated blood last time. That was a Very Bad Idea.
