Always Anti-fascist!

Well, not literally, and it's not quite so awful that I'm second-class, you know, no organs are ripped out and I'm not eating from a bowl outside or anything, but I do feel less-than-equal getting inspected all the time.

Short answer "Got to let me play. This America, man." I've had it-- they're sloppy, flaky, and rude, and at least 8 out of ten times have Issues as big as mine, except different. And they'd love to find some sort of fraud so they can pay much less for my attendant hours, and now they're younger than me. It's like a cross between an audit and bad speed dating.(Which, admittedly, is not Malala-level shit, but doesn't exactly fill me with great personal pride, either.)

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

If you quit wasting all that money on the gold-plated attendants you'd be just fine!

Thrive to spite them

I went and got my hair cut and face waxed at an AVeda Institute yesterday, I like going there becuase affordable haircut and it won't be bad becuase even though students are cutting my hair the instructors make sure it looks right.

Hair cut was fine, waxing was a bit wonky. She didn't get all the wax residue off my face last night I washed tt with some cleanser I have for sensitive skin. It still didn't feel like it came off so I used this cleansing pad that came with the set with the cleanser. It's for sensitive skin and I wasn't thinking about there being an issue.

A few hours later my face got itchy and when I rubbed it there were lumps. So it felt like maybe an allergic reaction, but I figured things would be okay in the morning. I took Benadryl to help with the itching and rubbed some pure aloe.

Today I still have lumps under the skin but there's a section of skin that's more inflamed than the rest and dark red. I don't know what to do.

Would topical Benadryl help or make it worse?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Sounds like it's irritated more than an allergic reaction. Probably just need to leave it alone and let it calm down. Cold water compress maybe to cool it?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Hec's right, it's probably just irritated. I don't let anyone near my face with wax because my face gets red and irritated for hours, and what's the point of that?

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Mine stays red and bumpy for a day or two, so I don't wax either.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Yeah, the same thing happens to me after I get my brows waxed, so I try to plan ahead if I need to not look red and bumpy (like, I got them waxed 2 weeks before the wedding so they had plenty of time to calm down).

Give them a day or two, and use an ice pack or a cold washcloth if it's really annoying.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Yeah, I've gotten that with waxing, too. I tried going to a place once that used "natural" wax, and I had a much worse reaction than I'd ever had with the regular stuff. Turns out the "natural" wax has pine sap, and I'm really allergic to pine trees. For next time, if they leave any wax on your face, use rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball to get it off, then put on some aloe.
