Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I wouldn't assume that. Can you contact the health center?

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

The health center probably can't give out info because of HIPAA. But it would be worth asking the student if the health center told him he isn't contagious.

Yeah, HIPAA probably trumps "I'm the guy's professor, I'd like to know if I'm allowing contagion into my classroom."

Hil, they shouldn't give you any info about your student, but I would ask the student if he's been cleared to return to class.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Thanks, askye. On further digging about, it looks like the one I bought might be a better processor. I'll double-check when I get home and go from there.

It ever hurts to ask about price matching, the big things they don't price match are third party vendors on sites like Amazon and weird discount websites. There's something like eastcoastvs.com that has super low prices and that's one we get asked about (and we don't discount).

If you're in the store and ask there are multiple ways for assocaites to check for price matching.

But with some things like computers it looks almost the sam ebut then you look and there are small differneces or the model numbers are different. Best Buy gets lots of Exclusive at Best Buy (for small things it's stuff in BB Blue), but there are other stores that get things only for them - like shopping channels will get laptops with colored cases, but you dont' see that often in stores.

Mono in the classroom seems like a bad idea. Poor kid!

So I should be in bed. I will be soon. I had to deal with a really annoying customer over the phone, I've dealt with her before and I guess she's been calling fairly regularly because someone who backs up the phones recognized her by the description.

She moans and sighs VERY DRAMATICALLY over everything. There's no way to convey this in print, but I imagine she's either slumped over a desk with her head on her crooked arm moaning or flinging herself to flop along the back of the chair and sighing, And it's hard for her to finish sentences so the conversation goes something liek

"I have this.... UGGGGHHHHH!!!!uggghhhh....problem SIGH! HUFFI It's too complicated UGGGGHHHHH!!!! I just....I can't...SIiiiiggggggghhhhHHHH".

"And what kind of issue are you having"

"Paypal..GROANMOAN it doesn't SIGH work Moan."

Okay I can't help you access your pay pal account but I can find a contact number for you. And it went on, she didn't have a pen, but she was at her computer, but she didn't know how to use any kind of word processing, email, or notepad program to write down the phone number, so I told her to just type it in the address bar since she doesn't have something to write with.

"GROAN!! eleventyone I HAVE A PEN!!! SIGN SIGH HEAVE" Okay so let me give you this number.

And it took THREE attempts for her to understand 1-888 and then we had issues wiht the next part of the number.

When she tried to get into the other problems she was having I gave her the option of calling Geek Squad or coming into the store. BUT THEY'LL CHARGE !! Leading to the most dramatic moaning and sighing, EVERYONE CHARGES. Well, yes, we do expect payment for services (I did not say). But she has friends who do computer work, they'll fix her computer.

Which, sure, lady this is like hte 5th time you've called in the past 2 weeks which is why I totally remember you (besides the melodramatic sighing).

I keep wondering how she goes thorugh everyday life. Is she just like this on the phone, becuase I can't imagine her in grocery store or at work.

I reallly really wanted to say "If you are going to act like a melodramatic teenager then you can go to your room until you can behave and act like an adult and then call back." But of course I can't do that.

Maybe. There seemed to be a bunch of I don't understand stuff and I'm frustrated.

I've gotten calls from people who forge their itunes password and they want the store to fix that. I give them apple's number but occasionally I'll hear but I bought it from you. I don't want to deal with apple.
