Next week is vacation time. Brain is not fully on campus. Brain wants vacation time to start now. As a result, not much getting done. Bllahh.
Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Scrappy that sounds stressful.
Today is stressful. Also I think I have a UT I so tomorrow I get to get up way too ealry and go to the doctor. I think this is why I felt bad and feverish.
I have Friday Saturday and Sunday off. I can't wait.
Venturing into tmi land here, but I go in for hip surgery tomorrow (yay? Mixed bag of emotions there. Big yay for hi possibility of pain free return to life in 6months. Less yay for all hassles and pain that go with surgery.) my period started a week late (thanks, body) and went into overkill yesterday. I'm practically hemhoraging today and supposed to be under the knife in less than 24 hrs! I have no idea how to deal with this. It's not like they ever asked me about my cycle so I assume it's not relevant to the procedure...but post op with a numb leg and difficulty using the bathroom alone? I'm gonna ask someone to deal with my used lady supplies. Um, no. Sincerely tryng to will my uterus into cooperation STAT.
Hey, uterus! Dry up!
Oh, dear, I dried up the thread.
ION, dear brain, you are allowed to laugh delightedly at something you find on the net. I'm not sure where that "No, what are you doing, how dare we be happy about something!" urge came from, but I have my suspicions. Don't make me pull out the "He wants you to be happy" trope.
Dear Connie's Brain:
Let Connie have a good laugh, ferfucksake! She's more than earned it!
Connie's brain: laughing is OK! Good, even!
I got my blood test results back. I have excellent cholesterol. Not so excellent thyroid function, though.
There's a whole crew of us buffistas with wonky thyroids, Hil, so if you have any questions, just ask!
Of course I say that as I am running out the door, so won't get back to you until later, but if I know us, someone will answer your questions long before I get back.
Yeah, I've been on Synthroid for about a year now. My doctor is raising my dosage, and I'll get another blood test next month. This does explain why I've gained about ten pounds over the summer.
Erin, they'll use a tampon probably during the surgery, and then pads while you're recovering. Nurses have seen everything, and that ain't nothing.
How long will you be in hospital post-surgery? Hopefully, you'll be done by then!
So sorry -- what a PITA to have to deal with.
