Thanks sj. I definitely need to get some kind of soft, bland food to take the medication with. The apple worked out but is not optimal for calming the stomach.

I wonder if this is right...or advisable...the box says to not take more than two caplets in 24 hours.

That makes me super nervous, as it has been just 4 hours and I'm certain the symptoms are not well and truly gone.

What do you all do for migraine symptoms?

I feel like I've just joined a club that doesn't really want me.

Total cross-post.

So, taking more often might not be a problem?

I should add:

250mg acetaminophen, 250mg aspirin, 65mg caffeine per caplet and I've had two.

Huh. There is no reason you can't take 2 caplets every 6 hours. (Bearing in mind the caffeine component -- it might keep you awake.)

Bless you, Steph.

Honestly, awake and not in pain is totally okay with me.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Once medicated, I retreat to a dark room and try to sleep it off. I've also been known to throw things at my kids if they sleep above a whisper.

Sending no more migraine~ma your way.

Extra-strength tylenol is 500 mg acetaminophen per caplet, and you can take 2 every 6 hours. So there is no reason you can't take 2 caps of 250 mg each every 6 hours.

Our wings are not tired.

Exedrin Migraine

I was popping these quite a lot the past couple months or so. Then when I was refilling my vitamin container I noticed the bottle in my bag and realized that I hadn't taken any since I went to NY. I am not sure whether it is the drop in temperature or the drop in stress that did it. Dehydration can be a big factor with me for headaches. But 2 weeks headache free. How about that!?!?!

meara - Aug 18, 2014 11:30:34 am PDT #12915 of 30002

Yay Laura! I hope you can keep up the lack of headaches!

I have never taken Excedrin Migraine, though I have tried all the components when I have a migraine! Also occasionally alcohol helps, though I try to not do that in combo with most of the other things.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Yay for headache-free, Laura!

::whisper:: boo for headache, bonny

So it turns out I can keep a tiny toad alive, but tiny crickets NSM. oops. Buying more today.

Oh my gosh. The idea of alcohol when I'm feeling that barfy...ugh.

I had to ask my friend to stop saying the word 'butter' it was triggering me so badly.

I felt the symptoms creeping up again, so I took another dose at 6 hours.

Can I just say, hallelujah!

The eyes and ears problem has lessened, even having to be in an actual meatspace meeting...for Aflac.

I am hopeful that I won't need much more of the medication, but having it to hand is incredibly comforting.

Yay, no headaches Laura!

Thanks for the whisper Burrell. I think I'll pretend to meditate for a while and just sit in a cool, dark, quiet place enjoying the fact that my stomach is keeping still and my eyes are no longer aching.

Ahhhh. Sweet relief. Thy name is Excedrin Migraine and I cannot appreciate you enough.

Thanks for the advice and good thoughts everyone. I am much obliged.
