Sunnydale's got too many demons and not enough retail outlets.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

My stepdad's Aunt J passed away this evening. It was a blessing really; she was suffering a great deal toward the end and was ready to go.

askye, I'm sorry about the therapy fiasco. I hope you find someone you like and soon.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

My mom is back home now. She actually seems to have more energy already, even though she's tired from the surgery. I'll be staying home with her for the next few days -- my dad's got to go back to work, and I don't need to be back in PA until next week.

Our wings are not tired.

I'm glad that the timing is such that you are will be able to be with her, Hil.

Sorry for the loss, sj. I more than understand knowing it is for the best for the person, while still grieving the loss.

askye, I hope that you have a positive resolution soon. Also, losing a prescription is not drug seeking. If you were drug seeking you would have filled that sucker pronto.

Thank you. Her husband isn't in good health either at the moment, so any ~ma you could direct toward the family would be great.

brillig

This month can just stop already.

I've decided to let Hubby's cell phone run out its battery, but it keeps beeping, even though I've turned off the alerts. Duh, pull out the battery!

(I was keeping it charged just in case someone with only tht number needed something. No, I don't want to deal with it anymore.)

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

sj, my condolences to your whole family.

In between coughing fits, I'm thinking supportive thoughts to all. So yeah, cold turned into sinus infection which leads to post nasal drip which equals cough. Sinus infection also spread to eyes so I have conjunctivitis. So Cipro drops every two hours.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Can I just say? This summer BLOWS. Too many people have lost loved ones, and my heart just breaks for them. And then I feel like maybe I'm being ridiculous, that my friends' pain shouldn't upset me. But it does.

And I've lost 2 family members this summer, and we have a friend in the hospital who is pretty gravely ill and getting worse, and I am just OVER THIS CRAP. I mean, really.

Can we just pass a resolution that the rest of the summer is going to be puppy dogs and unicorn glitter farts and booze? Because that would be swell.

Can there be chocolate too? If so, I'll second.
