Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Sorry to hear that, ginger.

Shorter-misery~ma, ginger.

Connie, I'm glad you realize that even if the B.org hivemind isn't quite omniscient you can't escape go anywhere where our care isn't there for you. Or, you know, something slightly less creepy that means the same thing.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Ugh Ginger, I hope the side effects behave themselves better this time. Take good care of yourself, I know you will.

Urgh. It is using every ounce of willpower I possess to not reply to relatives reposting IDF stuff on Facebook. I just know that that would end really badly. (I did reply to my mother privately when she posted an article about how the NY Times is "obviously" anti-Israel. I asked her if she had actually read any of the NY Times articles in question. She said no, and seemed surprised by my asking, like she hadn't even considered looking at them.)

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Ginger, I hope the side effects lessen for you.

Hil, sorry you're in pain again. Feel better.

We had a very ambitious plan for today that involved lunch in Providence for restaurant week, the zoo, and a movie, but I didn't wake up feeling very ambitious. So, we skipped the zoo and went to the Brown bookstore in between lunch and the movie.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Ginger, Hope the side effects are minimal.

Connie, we are always here for ya!

So I'm trying a new dating site. Plenty Of Fish. It was highly rated in a. LifeHacker article. Free app. Why not. I sent a note to a gal with a very minimal profile. Not expecting a response, as most gals don't (guess I'm not there type, that's fine, whatev). She responds with a "hi, my name is ___". M. Ok. So I respond, asking if she's having a nice weekend. She replies with one word. "Tryin" [sic]. She's cute. But c'mon! I need something to work with! Conversation. SOMETHING!!! Maybe she's shy. We will see if she replies. I asked if she was doing the beach, since it's a nice day, and her profile says she likes the beach. My luck, it will be a one word response.

Oh, and while I'm ranting about dating sites, what's with all the car selfies??? And if you are going to post pics of you, a bunch of selfies isn't very flattering. One, guys like to see more than a close up of your face. Two, don't you have any friends? Some else in the pic with you? Or to take the picture?

t /rant

She responded. One word.

Sleeping

What the hell?

I finally get a response... But is it???

I have all the luck, I tell you what.

I took a look at Plenty Of Fish once, but there was practically no one who lived near me.

Thrive to spite them

Sorry you are hurting Ginger.

Omnis maybe it's time to try another fish.

Got my review done. Got a raise and boss apologized he couldn't do more. But it's all good and I kinda rocked it on the sales floor.

Omnis, could this fish have the website texting her with messages, and she's so texting-responsive that she tries to respond even when she's sleeping and should turn the damn phone off? If that's not it, then I got nothing.

askye, good on you! I'm glad that this job is working out for you as well as it has.

Hil, that is hard.
