Even worse, when I hear my voice (like on voicemail or a recording) I want to run and hide. It doesn't sound like my voice and I feel sorry for anyone who has to listen to that.
Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
My voice and my BFF's voice sound almost exactly alike on voicemail or recordings. It's weird.
I have more chin and less hair, and way more belly, than my mental image of myself does. In my head, I look like I did when I was 25....25 years ago. A bit unrealistic, aye.

It definitely weirds me out to hear my voice...because I sound JUST like my sister. Except, y'know, not like I sound to ME. So it's like I'm hearing her, instead of me. In MY head we don't sound alike, but apparently we do...

My recorded voice sounds like a kid to me. I hear it a lot because I do the voice overs for all our training stuff. Which doesn't make sense because I have no authority in my voice whatsoever. I should make my son do it. He reads aloud really well.
I mostly hate still photos of myself, but don't mind videos. The animated version is easier to take.
eta: apparently I sound just like my sisters too. One sister's office is thrown when I call and ask for her because they swear it is just her on another line messing with them.

I feel the same way. Pictures of myself I'm usually fine with, but I really dislike hearing my own voice on a recording.
I'm sorry but you're all beautiful and sexy and you sound great to me.
Okay, interview scheduled for next Tuesday. Nervous and exited and super nervous, and aaaah!
Exciting, Sean!
Sean, you are good at what you do, a great guy, and will do AMAZING at the interview.
Not that he is trying to rub at the eye at all. And he's still managing to bash his face into things. Given that his method of self-soothing is to rub his face on things. Not sure how much good the darn thing is actually doing.
Could you try taking it off?
(I realize you risk being able to not get it back on if you do so.)
Dallas was remarkably disinclined to fuss with her incisions when healing from surgery so we stopped putting them on her.
