Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I'm sorry but you're all beautiful and sexy and you sound great to me.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Sean, you are good at what you do, a great guy, and will do AMAZING at the interview.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Not that he is trying to rub at the eye at all. And he's still managing to bash his face into things. Given that his method of self-soothing is to rub his face on things. Not sure how much good the darn thing is actually doing.

Could you try taking it off?

(I realize you risk being able to not get it back on if you do so.)

Dallas was remarkably disinclined to fuss with her incisions when healing from surgery so we stopped putting them on her.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I talked to the vet and she said if he wasn't trying to rub at it and I'm here to watch him, I could take it off. So I did. He's much more comfortable and is finally able to eat. Now he's curled up asleep in his favorite spot on the couch.

He's still not going outside for the recommended week, though. I can't control what he sticks his face into outside.

Sounds smart. Glad he's feeling better.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Sean, that's fantastic! Fingers are crossed.

Zen, glad that he's more comfortable now.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

N, you are beautiful inside and out, and he was an idiot for walking out.

Just wanted to reiterate this.

Not commenting on the body issues. Lala, would rather ignore them, thanks.

Yay, Sean! We can start sending the interview~ma in a directed fashion!

Pretty good birthday today. Slept in a bit, got my free breakfast (really brunch) at Denny's, got my brows done (free), dinner with Mom & brother. Mom & I had to fight on the drive home, of course, but whatever (moms know where your buttons are 'cuz they installed 'em). Now catching up on DVR & internets before bedtime.

Thanks for all the FB birthday wishes, y'all. Totally filled my email inbox with the notifications! Awesome!

Doing dinner & Monsters University with friends tomorrow. I'm currently debating - it's been my tradition (pretty much since the first Buffista Bitches Tiara Exchange that I ever participated in) to wear a tiara for my birthday dinner. I'm actually considering skipping it this year. My friends would be shocked. I'm thinking of wearing my first birthday present, which was purchased a couple weeks ago by a friend I attended Greek Festival with,a Greek fisherman's hat, instead. Eh, I'll probably end up doing both. Heaven knows, I'm always down for a costume change.
