[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Hello. I sure as heck needed a nap after Daniel's aunt's funeral. I feel better now.

Our wings are not tired.

Funerals are indeed exhausting. How is Daniel doing?

The funeral seemed to give some catharsis. Daniel seems a bit better. I felt some compassion for the funeral director - poor fellow hadn't reckoned on the Jensen clan tendency to stand around talking instead of allowing themselves to be herded. So the migration to the graveside took longer to get in motion than most and the reverse journey was also pretty straggly. The gathering after was a nice (if overwhelming for me) mini-reunion. It was lovely to meet some more cousins, though, and hold the new baby (Daniel's great-nephew).

So a good friend came by, sharing memories and planning ways to remember him in the future, and it wasn't a comfort. It just underscored that he's not going to be here. Don't wanna don't wanna don't wanna.

The only way through is through.

Our "son" is taking me to the movies tomorrow. Don't wanna. But they're just showing me they love me.

Throwing things will only result in a mess I have to clean up.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

too soon, connie. I'm sorry.

I had a teacher in high school who lost his son, the memorial was about a year later. It was too hard to do it earlier.

Windsparrow , I am glad Daniel has had some catharsis.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Just turned on the computer for the first time in a couple days, so just heard about your DH, Connie. I'm so sorry that you had to say goodbye so soon. I felt like I knew him a little through your stories of him - and the world will be a little poorer for the lack of him. I wish you so much peace right now. I hope the people around you will be able to support you in the way you need, and that the people here will fill any gaps. {{{{{Connie}}}}}

checking in on the overnight shift. Hey Connie, what episode of Castle are you on, in your marathon?

Day two of wedding party is complete. Bachelor Parties. We went to a burlesque show. On the whole, it was good. Silly me forgot my ear plugs. The house band was rather loud. Good, but loud. We had good seats. I was on the aisle, and the performers were dancing all around hte place. I was at the end of our table, right on the aisle. So I had some pleasant attention. I offered the groom the spot several times. He did not want it. ::shrug:: Ok. I'm not going to complain!

Tomorrow is rehearsal dinner. First, drink some more water before heading to bed.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Thinking of you, Connie. I wish there was something else I could say. I hope you got to see Captain America again and that Castle is a useful thing.

Shir, I do hope you're in a relatively safe place. My mother-in-law is visiting, and the way she's describing the whole thing sounds just horrendous.

I just finished the set of episodes in S2 where Dana Dulaney is the FBI wunder-agent. I'll pick up S3 but maybe just specific episodes from later seasons. I really resented what they did to the original captain, and, of course, the whole Beckett's mother thing.

I did see Captain America, and I'm about to be taken to Maleficent.

I liked Malificent, I hope you do too.
