It's our anniversary today, and not really a milestone year. It's hard to believe it was decades ago we borrowed my dad's car and eloped (with my parents' best wishes). We are old and boring. Not even a card, or a cupcake with a sparkler. We're getting pulled pork from the good place, and H will douse it and the coleslaw with his special BBQ sauce that is killer, and let it marinate till suppertime, and we'll eat out on the covered deck and watch twilight come. There may be canoodling. It'll be good. We're good.

Oh Connie, sending so much love and ~ma in your direction. I hope you and Hubby can feel the strength flowing his way.

Today is also the anniversary of the day I and the cats moved in with Daniel. Ordinarily we celebrate by going out to eat but we've already blown the restaurant budget for the month coping with helping his cousin move his aunt's belongings out of her room in the care facility.

So far I'm having a good birthday. TCG gave me a gift card toward the ninja blender I want, the soundtrack to Hedwig and the Angry Inch, and a Pandora bead with garnet colored stones for what would have been our January baby.
