I'm just trying to tell you that we have nothing in common besides both of us liking your penis.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

The one trick with fresh figs is to eat them quickly, they don't last. I just rinse them and then nom them straight up, no adornment.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

I already stand at work work quite a bit, but currently it's a problem because whenever I stand, I also fidget. Like, to the point of dancing. And dancing is a huge no-no right now and makes it hurt even more, so I find myself sitting more than usual which is sad for many reasons. Surgeon was highly skeptical of working even while standing for more than four hours at at time and even that only after several months. Perhaps if I could get mgmt to sign off on one of those treadmill desks (I know at least one member of the health and safety committee has been lobbying for one for *years*. We have sooooo many health issues from the combo of shift work + high stress + sedentary that lotsa folks want the treadmill desk option, but risk mgmt is a big ole ixnay. I wonder if maybe I could push for a medical accomodation to get one in the door...very slow walking might be just the thing. And if I can type while walking on a mini stair-climber, I can totally type while walking on a super slow treadmill.

Our wings are not tired.

That sounds like an excellent idea, e_o. If you could get the medical exception it might help others as well.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Epic, just be careful not to eat too many at once. They have a cleansing effect on your innards.

sj, I'm still sending good thoughts your way.

Erin, I hope the recovery is quick and painless, and I also hope that work can accommodate you.

Thanks, Maria. How are you today?

Tea: New therapist did not get back to me about rescheduling my appointment, and it took her a week to call me back from when I originally inquired about getting an appointment with her. I'm thinking this is a bad sign.

Miracleborns: I'm really sorry for your loss. ita ! . Sorry for this new problem and hope the epidural helps. I will add that I've had a bulging disc for years and that cortisone injections have really helped it. Says nothing about what will work for you, but a data point nonetheless. Have been very sparsely on the interbunny due to new problem, but did want to catch up somewhat.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Maria, definitely taking note since SO.VERY.MANY. things already have that effect on me.

sj, you may be right about this not being a real positive omen for your relationship with her. Fingers crossed for good results from that quarter.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Figs make me think of Indiana Jones. That poor monkey.

Things are starting to calm down in my world. School is out. Summer theater is in place, and starts technical rehearsals on Tuesday. Only stressor left is the wedding I'm officiating for my besties. Hosting the 4th party for their out of town guests, helping with the bachelor party, plus the usual rehearsal dinner, and... well, this introvert is trying to not be overwhelmed.

Yesterday we had a staff outing. Bowling! Woot. My team won first place. Not for our bowling abilities, but because they had random colored pins, that score you bonus ten points. We got about 80% of those, and it really boosted our scores. After the bowling, I had a very long discussion with our new Development Director. It went great. Sadly, it was outside in the glaring sun. My arms and face are rather red. Thankfully I have a HUGE aloe plant, so snipped some of that and applied liberally. This morning feels a lot better. Hopefully the mild burn will result in some increased funding from development office. Apparently nobody knows how to play the game, of having a wish list on hand. New gal wants to tackle projects that need funding. It's easier than just raising generic operational money. I have lists. You tell me price range, I can spend that money. Hey, a fella can dream.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Hivemind works, as I bought fresh figs yesterday. I have some brie in the fridge, so I am going to slice the figs, put them on top of the brie on some ciabatta and have a lovely open faced sandwich for brunch tomorrow.

I had planned to have it tonight, but some friends were driving through Hartford on their way to Boston, so I had a late lunch with them and am still not hungry.
