60% of my income is way better than nothing.
And though being stuck at home sucks, it does curtail some spending - at least that was what I found when I was on disability after carpal-tunnel surgery.
Too bad the therapist can't be there with you during the ultrasound. Talk about functional therapy....
Brilliant!
Ortho surgeon says that sitting for more than a couple hrs at a time will be super painful.
And presumably not as conducive to recovery. Don't be afraid to let yourself heal, Girl!

No kidding. Eesh.
And erin, I did wonder if you could stand, but then I thought "but standing and doing her job for HOURS would be exhausting".
Am irked because I went in to do a training for work, and found out there were a couple others I need to do today that had been put in there--and one is a powerpoint presentation thing that had been recorded, and I can't fast forward, but still have to click "next"--there's no voice narration, but they apparently believe that I read at a GLACIAL pace, because I'll read the like, two lines on the slide, but it won't let me click "next" for another 30 seconds or whatever. Ugh.
uggh, meara. HATE those.
ION, I'll be getting figs in my next CSA box. We've never had figs before (literally). What does one DO with them?
meara, that does sound boring as heck.
There is a therapist at my clinic, but it is too far for me to want to go every week. So, I can't see her on a regular basis.
I am so done with onerous phone calls today. Our matinee was canceled for tomorrow because one of the actors is ill and doesn't feel like he can do two shows a day. So I had to change my tickets, then call and change my dinner reservations, and finally call my family to tell them that I changed our dinner reservations. I also called the oil company to tell them I can't find our contract for next winter and to book a service for my heating system (only 2 months late). And finally called the therapist and left her a message about rescheduling.

When figs are in season and really ripe they're delicious eaten as is, but they are also delicious with goat cheese or blue cheese. Just slice them open, stuff them with the cheese and nom or wrap them in bacon or proscuitto after stuffing.
Figs can generally be eaten whole (raw). If the skin is thick or you dislike it you can peel it off. They taste like the inside of a fig newton.
That IS a lot of phone time. I hereby declare you may choose to speak to no one if you so desire for the next little while (or until the return calls start...)

Or run them (with goat cheese) under the broiler and when they come out, drizzle some balsamic vinegar on them. Yum. I need to get some figs of my own!

In this I'm like a 7-yr-old. I've always assumed that I don't like figs, so I've never even eaten a Fig Newton. (See also: ate my first-ever beets with my last CSA box).
Okay, marked your posts so I can further this whole "pretend to be a grownup" thing I've been working on when they get here.

The only return call I am expecting is the therapist. Everyone else has been dealt with. TCG has been looking forward to this play all season, so I would have felt sick if he had to miss it, especially since I canceled the first time we were supposed to see it because there was too much other stuff going on.
