Don't belong. Dangerous, like you. Can't be controlled. Can't be trusted. Everyone could just go on without me and not have to worry. People could be what they wanted to be. Could be with the people they wanted. Live simple. No secrets.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

You're a warrior, WS!

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Have you considered going to the meeting in pajamas?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Good luck, WS!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I like Ginger's idea of dress--though I myself would never have the chutzpah to carry it off. Courage, WS! And may the results be glorious.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I sleep in t-shirts and undies. So, yes, technically, what I wear to the meeting will include PJs. There will also be pants and a bra, however. And the little confrontation went beautifully - not accusatory so it did not make me look nasty, yet there did seem to be at least mild chagrin on the part of bosslady. I want her to know she can't pull crap on me and have it not come back in some way, yet I don't want our working relationship to become adversarial. And I got a really practical suggestion from house manager on how to make sure she gets the PTO forms.

Yay! That's so good.

And now get back to the inside-pants-or-pajamas plan! Which is an excellent plan.

Sounds like an excellent outcome, WS!

Somebody needs to stand over me with a scowl and make me work. The downside of working from home is that it's really easy to fuck off when you're unmotivated.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

We are having the same day. The high point so far has been checking the mail to see if I got paid yet. (Spoiler: I did not.)

Amen. My only saving grace is that (a) half or more of my work is on the road and (b) most of the stuff I do has firm deadlines, so even if I don't do it when I SHOULD, I do have to do it eventually. But I know I'd feel better if I did it sooner rather than later! (Later usually means "frantically trying to do it in a hotel room late at night when I'd rather be watching TV")

Our wings are not tired.

Somebody needs to stand over me with a scowl and make me work.

I need this person too. Although I am in the office, still not being at all productive. My desk overfloweth.

eta: Go Andi! It is a lovely thing to stand up for yourself.
