Oh, bonny, that's so frustrating! Would it help you to take a personal day (or days) so you can get some space and don't have to deal with him?

Thanks Steph. I have spoken to the owner this morning and let her know that I will drop Cagney off...because I promised they could use him...but I don't feel like smiling and have some serious thinking to do.

I feel bad for her...this should just be fun...but I don't need to be in the same room with this guy. It's best for everyone.

I think that's a good decision. I hope the space away from him helps.

yeah. I think I need to be away from everyone for a while. Things are really falling apart and, frankly, I don't have the energy.

So, please don't let me drag the thread down.

You are not dragging the thread down. If you need to vent, or need an ear (or several ears), we are here for you.

I am one huge anxiety-filled, IBS-filled ball of crazy lately, so if I can help someone instead of becoming progressively more stressed about my shit, I'd much rather do that.

Drag the thread down?! Dunno what's going on, but please, that title goes to me! You just vent whatever you need to say; this place is a goddamned lifeline.

Always Anti-fascist!

Doesn't there have to be *gold* for gold-digging?(I mean, of course, temporarily leaving aside what a horrible thing that is to tell someone. Which is right up there with stepmonster telling me in the ninth grade that she almost didn't marry my father because of my "special needs". In real life, my needs had nothing to do with that, but at least she fights constructively.) But I don't get the feeling TCG has blown off Stark Industries to be with you. I could be wrong...you could be the unassuming rich folks whose "little place" is three of my condo. Oh, she's gonna be thrilled when you're pregnant. Not. I'm sorry.

OH MY GOD TELL US IF THIS IS TRUE.

We'll keep your secret. Promise.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Read quickly, this post is set to self destruct in a few hours.

But I don't get the feeling TCG has blown off Stark Industries to be with you.

Sadly, this is not true. In fact I made TCG laugh and laugh at this craziness this weekend by say, "Yes, when I met you and you were living in that crappy apartment, working retail and an internship for practically no money, and didn't own a car, I thought, 'wow there is my ticket to unlimited wealth."

Now, to be fair, TCG does have a nice job now and good benefits. We're very comfortable (although not comfortable enough that we don't have a moment of panic whenever the oil bill arrives), we don't have to worry about where are grocery money is coming from, and we have a nice (modest house). I'm aware that this is more than a lot of people can say, and I'm grateful for what we have. I would never choose a rich man over TCG because I married the best man I have ever known, but the idea that I am spending my days spending TCG's money and laughing at him, is beyond ridiculous. Not to mention the fact that I do have my own income, and that we contribute equally to a household account. All the books, lattes, and clothes I buy, not to mention my car payments come out of a separate account that never sees a penny of TCG's income. And a large portion of the down payment for this house came from my family.

Wow, if that's the accusation being made about you, that's...kind of detached from reality.
