Oh geez, what a difficult time of year :( So sorry for accidentally stirring things up and making it even worse. If my hobby of choice weren't decorating eggs I wouldn't even know when Easter is aside from the facebook shenanigans (HankyPysanky has to keep track of such things to track timeliness of spring orders.) I wish you as much steeply discounted candy as you might wish to enjoy. Speaking of which, I should perhaps hit up the local Target for discounted display options.

eta: And your post really wasn't mean-spirited at all. Back when I was firmly religious I still joked about zombie jesus and the delicious treats he brought. Cuz the usual rule of thumb on those risen from the dead is that they only want to kill you and bring you misery, so Jesus was super awesome for bringing treats instead.

Somewhat squicky medical question. I have a puss filled welt on my thigh where I had a band-aid today. I'm pretty sure it is an allergic reaction to the band-aid, which I didn't realize had latex. My question is, how do I treat the welt?

It's only a little red and not hot at all. I don't have any benadryl ointment in the house. Is it okay for tonight to just take oral benadryl and leave it uncoveredd?

Antihistamines, yes. I'd also really gently wash it and put an soothing, uncomplicated lotion or vaseline on it. If it needs topical antihistamines tomorrow, it'll let you know.

I welt more from band-aids than wounds usually. Latex, adhesive. Something is always willing to mess with my skin.

sj, if the object doesn't feel inflamed, then you probably can just watch it. I'd suggest outlining the area with a marker so that, in the morning, you can see if it has grown at all.
