Both boys have been unhelpful. #1 isn't even here and he would likely come if I asked, but then he would fight with his father. #2 finds one excuse after another and is little help. Grrrr. I tried to get DH to let me help scrape shutters, one of the last things on the list, but he won't let me because it is too hot and it is physically very hard to do. So I do work work instead and feel like a bum.

Yeah, I have to push the real estate person now. 3 day lead time on getting the sign post! They put it up Monday. Just give me the damn post and I will put it in.

I figure she can handle the calls and just tell them that the contractors are finishing and schedule appointments or take names for later. I just want the sign up.

I got up early today to have my hand controls serviced because they were being kind of wonky. Picked up pastries because I was supposed to hang out with the lovely vw, and as I was pulling into the gas station near my house. The hand controls disconnected completely. I'm livid, mostly because no vw and I feel like such a flake and an awful friend for blowing her off at the last minute. But there is nothing I can do other than have my car towed home and have TCG drive it back tomorrow.

Yeah, I can have the sign, but the post won't be installed until Monday. My fault because I knew the timeline, but still want to weep. DH is all 'we're not ready', but I just need this behind me. Hopefully the painting gets done this weekend. I am in the camp of putting up the sign and just tell people that call that it is being completed and will be available to be viewed on whatever date. Ugh.

vw, was, as usual, wonderfully understanding, but I still feel awful.

I was hoping I could guilt the mechanic who "fixed" it to come out here today because he's an hour away and I have no way of getting back there until tomorrow, when TCG can drive it, but he didn't seem to be feeling the guilt. I would go somewhere else, but I can't find anyone else in the area who is licensed to install hand controls. I can't even rent a car because it takes 48 hours for them to get the one hand controlled car they have (for probably all of NE) to my local branch. t /rant

msbelle and sj. I do think I am going to do that. I'm sure we have plenty of places I could get a sign quickly. Now to figure a way to hang it.
