Oh yes! Good luck Sean. May things work out even better than you hope.
Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Laura, that's wonderful :)
Laura, I'm sorry about your co-worker. But the latest news is fabulous and wonderful. It's great when they find the niche that fits where they can excel.
askye, Belated Happy Birthday! And Happy Birthday, Cass!
Bonny and smonster, I'm sorry about the co-worker messhuges. But Bonny, it sounds like you've got yours under control. May that be the case for smonster too, soon.
NOLA for birthday happenings? What a frabjous idea!
Sean! That's terrific news! All good thoughts to you.
Strix, you'll be a fabulous and sought-after makeup-ist, with a healthy paycheck and bennies. Good luck!
Who'd I forget or overlook? Congrats, commiserations, hugs and attapersons, as needed.
Happy Cass day! I know I have thought it, and think I have said it, but it can always be said again.
Yay for round pegs finding round holes.
Yeah, more like the irregular oblique peg finding the irregular oblique hole. And yes I am grateful. Today is his day off, but about an hour ago he decided he would swing by and put in a few hours anyway since the queue of calls was there to work. His $500 car runs on about 2 cylinders and has one side window missing and 2 big cracked areas in the windshield, is rusting out, no gas cap, etc. A decent car is on the list before moving out, but that is of course high on both our lists too.
Sean, that's awesome! Good luck, and I hope you get it!
Fun! I pretty much have never worn makeup. I tried a couple times but didn't recognize the person in the mirror and looked older to myself.
Makeup is fun to me, but not everyone likes it. If I ever make it to FL or a F2F, I can play with your face, Laura (heh) and give you a fab feeling natural look, if you want to play!
Strix, you'll be a fabulous and sought-after makeup-ist, with a healthy paycheck and bennies. Good luck!
Thanks, Bev! I would have fun with it, and when I worked for Lancome, we got SO MUCH GRATIS (free products.) It was GREAT. I really hope I get called into an interview; I think I aced the application, and I interview really well.
Digits crossed in abundance for Sean and Strix, and I'm so happy your boy has landed on his feet, Laura!
Happy Birthday Cass!
My birthday was good. Will came up and brought me an "unBirthday cake" since I'm having some issues with my birthday. It's a Boston Creme Pie Cake with chocolate filling instead of vanilla.
Today Mom and I went to the Shelburne museum - I found out you can get married there so that's on the List. And one of the gardeners was pruning peonies and gave us some so we have them.
Tomorrow we may go back or we may do something else, then Wednesday Mom goes back.
Yum, sounds good askye.

Yes! You must come to Florida and play with my face.
Job~ma to Sean and Strix.
In offspring news, my son is doing very well at his new job. Exceptionally well. He has been there 2 months and they posted the monthly scorecard for the techs and he was way on top of the pack. They whole place applauded when he showed up for work. All the stuff that drove me batshit crazy when he worked for me doesn't bother these people at all. His shift may theoretically be 8-4 but he shows up at noon, probably in the same crumpled clothes from yesterday, and works until 2AM. Whatever, they have granted him unlimited overtime as long as there are service calls in the queue. They are all computer nerds that play on line games and hang out in the parking lot on break smoking. He already has gone to another tier where he gets the stuff hvthe first tier couldn't figure out. And they are encouraging him to get his certifications so he can do more complex stuff.
Yay, son of Laura! I'm glad he has found a place he fits in and can make money at it.
askye, that sounds like a lovely birthday. I'm all for the unbirthday cakes. I haven't wanted an actual birthday cake since I was 16, but cheesecake or mom's ice cream cake I can handle.

That sounds like a lovely wedding venue.
We have enough leftovers from Father's day that I don't have to cook for the foreseeable future. Tonight's dinner was strata and baked beans.
Can I have some ticket~ma for tomorrow? TCG is taking the day off tomorrow so we can drive into Boston and try to get tickets for Gaiman's book signing. I'm worry they'll sell out early. They're only being sold in person.
