Thank you ginger and Laura! Those sites are great, and I'm only seeing 100% positive reviews and feedback which is comforting.
Less comforting? Not being given the post care instructions after hip arthrogram, which apparently would have dramatically altered my approach to life yesterday. I was told told to expect pain and discomfort for about 24 hrs. Apparently the post care instructions I was not given should have told me to expect pain and discomfort STARTING at 24 hrs after and continuing for 3 to 4 days. Ok, so now the misery is just typical reaction to the dye, not my body falling apart. Good t know. Will be getting a new vicodin script tomorrow as at this rate I'll be out after tonight. Gah.
So Hubby's cardiac adventure last Friday? A standard side effect from one of the new chemo drugs. "Oh, I'm sorry, we must have forgotten to mention that."
I am supremely unimpressed with the efficiency of the cancer department. Cardio and orthopedic departments have been able to keep track of things, communicate within their departments, remember what's going on. I'm beginning to suspect that the cancer people are going "Keep patting their hands and distracting them, they won't be here long anyway, and we can convince them we're doing something." Individual doctors will say progress is being made, but the support staff seem baffled with what's going on. Maybe there are just that many cancer patients around here that they're overwhelmed. But I'm very tempting to whelm them. With extreme prejudice.
Connie, I'm sorry. You and your DH deserve better support than that.
I'm sitting outside the market hoping I have just enough spoons left to go into the market and get milk. I start the first of my IVF injections tonight (and damn were these drugs pricey, even with insurance). I'm hoping for no wonky side effects.
Oh sending lots of ~ma for the best possible results from the IVF injection with absolutely no bad side effects.
Cosigning Laura's wishes for you, sj!
The BIGGEST box of fertility drugs was waiting for me when I got home. Thank goodness we have a second fridge or I don't know how we would store it all.
At a diff dealership. They have a 2011 for a good price. I've been looking at 07/08's. the price pushes my comfy zone, but 2-3 years newer for $1,000 more? Um. Yeah. Lots of bells n whistles. If I can keep the price down, it's gonna be mine. Car fax clean. Looks good! Haggle~ma!
eta:
Edmunds lists it at $16,901. Sticker price is $16,485. Yup, it's a deal. Just waiting for sales gal to come back.
I'm suddenly imagining the awkwardness of opening the fridge at sj's place for a some juice and finding....not juice. Lots and lots of not juice.
IoN, when googling info on surgical procedures, never ever ever look at web pages or read message boards more than 3 years old. *shudder*
