That's beautiful. Or taken literally, incredibly gross.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

IoN, when googling info on surgical procedures, never ever ever look at web pages or read message boards more than 3 years old. *shudder*

Lots of ~ma for everyone.

Speaking of such, I wonder if anyone has experienced something icky that I'm dealing with right now...just for reassurance.

The lid of my right eye has been a tiny bit puffy and painful over the last couple days. Allergies, stye, etc?

NOPE.

Whitefont 'cuz ick: It turns out I had a very old, quite large sebaceous cyst UNDER my lid, next to

my eye.

Seriously, how does that even happen!?

Through a series of steps I will not describe, I discovered it was super old and was not able to totally fix it, but the lid is less puffy and painful, so I am hopeful that I won't need further intervention.

Has anyone ever even heard of such a thing?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Has anyone ever even heard of such a thing?

No, but I'm not entirely surprised. People get things like ingrown eyelashes. I'm sorry though! That sounds yucky and painful.

I've had a few friends having to get those lanced and there's always that element of being grossed out by your own body, but it's really not uncommon.

So painful. Honestly.

I've certainly had such things on other parts of my body...changing in consistency as I get older...but nothing ever so difficult as this particular location.

On one hand, I'm glad it isn't an ingrown eyelash...which I imagine is just as painful...at least this way, it isn't an actual infection.

Grossed out pretty much covers it, but I am trying to be practical about it!

Ugh. Bodies are kind of gross.

I would say "why are we not all brains in jars" but then we'd still have feelings, and I'm feeling anti-feeling this evening (went out to karaoke, saw the ex, she sang a very sad song, I felt all full of feels, and do not want).

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Home now. I have swapped the plates (to put my handicap plates on). It's been a long time since I purchased a car, and this was the first time from a dealership. It takes a LONG time. Oy. But, it was a good experience. Nice people. Thing that slowed it down, silly me had last years insurance card. Was on hold FOREVER with insurance company, to get a fax of my insurance card.

SJ, best of luck!

Bonny, ick. Nope, haven't heard of that. Hope it clears up quickly.

There was more. But, I was a bit preoccupied today. ~ma to all that need it!

You got the car, omnis? Awesome! Enjoy!
