[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Yay, Sean! Kick their asses!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Awesome news, Sean! Very happy for you.

P.S. Thanks to you...or was it Steph...who gave me the intel re Free Birthday Brow Wax. My unruly brows are going to see Rachel this Friday, and not a moment too soon!

I totally forgot about this. I paid for mine. Locally, so it was probably just as well. But still, that is a birthday freebie that I would totally do if I could. My brows were pretty tragic and I vaguely cleaned them with tweezers but the difference after the wax is pretty noticeable.

And thanks. It's been a good day. Sometimes you just have to call an audible and do something different. Plus? Good brows and my skin is happier after I did an aspirin masque. Happier inside, happier outside.

That's great, Sean!

Our wings are not tired.

Exciting news, Sean! Make sure you let us know when to send out the most excellent Buffista interview~ma!

In offspring news, my son is doing very well at his new job. Exceptionally well. He has been there 2 months and they posted the monthly scorecard for the techs and he was way on top of the pack. They whole place applauded when he showed up for work. All the stuff that drove me batshit crazy when he worked for me doesn't bother these people at all. His shift may theoretically be 8-4 but he shows up at noon, probably in the same crumpled clothes from yesterday, and works until 2AM. Whatever, they have granted him unlimited overtime as long as there are service calls in the queue. They are all computer nerds that play on line games and hang out in the parking lot on break smoking. He already has gone to another tier where he gets the stuff the first tier couldn't figure out. And they are encouraging him to get his certifications so he can do more complex stuff.

So saving money to move out and get a reliable car is on the horizon! And Mom is just dumb to think that looking presentable and showing up on time matters a hoot. I'm really glad he has found something that fits so well.

I should be so fortunate!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Jeez, that's such good news, Laura. I hope he's found his niche.

Great news also from Sean! Good luck, buddy! Got my fingers crossed for you.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Laura, that's wonderful :)

Our wings are not tired.

Happy Cass day! I know I have thought it, and think I have said it, but it can always be said again.

Yay for round pegs finding round holes.

Yeah, more like the irregular oblique peg finding the irregular oblique hole. And yes I am grateful. Today is his day off, but about an hour ago he decided he would swing by and put in a few hours anyway since the queue of calls was there to work. His $500 car runs on about 2 cylinders and has one side window missing and 2 big cracked areas in the windshield, is rusting out, no gas cap, etc. A decent car is on the list before moving out, but that is of course high on both our lists too.
