I'm calmer now. I submit that there is no better mindfulness training than a Monday. Boy howdy, it was all I could do not to turn around and walk out as soon as I walked in. In solving a crisis (really bad water leaks) my boss put me back about a day on finishing this job. This is two days after, joking around at his party, he says I'll get a raise when we make more money. Okay, I get it, and I actually turned down a raise to advocate for my coworker to be paid equal to me or at least closer, but... FUCK YOU. Often as not it's his lack of planning and communication that slows us down.
If I ever get married, I want at least one pic like she has with the mask and the gloves and the utility belt.

today was mondya, but better than last monday
In celebration of clearing the boxes from the living room, and marveling at all the space, I have ordered a Total Gym Platinum gizmo to help me stretch and do excercises.
(now, I just have to use it)
Today was a good Monday for me, because I was at work at MY NEW JOB. Really like the people I am working with and the vibe of the company. Oh-near the end of the day a midlevel manager suddenly resigned, after sending a really unprofessional letter, lots of dramz. So I got to handle that and got a fervent thank you from the COO.
Wow. Sounds great. Always love the new-job smell. Hope it doesn't wear off for you.
Today was my 3rd year anniversary! Got a note from the Ass't Dean and everything.
It's a much more diverse workforce than my old job, which I really dig.

Heh. We aren't, actually, having a Batman-themed wedding (in case I never made that clear), and the only ice there will be dedicated to keeping beverages cold. But good on the Batgirl Nightwing people.

Thanks Steph. I have spoken to the owner this morning and let her know that I will drop Cagney off...because I promised they could use him...but I don't feel like smiling and have some serious thinking to do.
I feel bad for her...this should just be fun...but I don't need to be in the same room with this guy. It's best for everyone.
