Goodbye and Good Riddance 2012: If the world doesn't end, I'm going to need a note

Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. 2012--better luck next time.

For me it depends on if there are other things on Christmas. I like opening the gift from here as they come since my Christmas day is busy, but everyone's isn't.

Thrive to spite them

I opened the card so THANK YOU BONNNY!

But the packages are wrapped so nice in this pretty purple paper that I think I'm going to wait and enjoy looking at them on my bookshelf for awhile.

Oh Askye, I'm so glad it arrived on time. I just mailed it on Thursday, how awesome is the Post Office?

I was just coming in to say that I received a super cute card from my secret santa, via msbelle. (Thank you both) And, that I'm truly feeble at the 'secret' portion of the program.

I'm all HERE IS SOME STUFF I HOPE YOU LIKE! No mystery at all.

I felt bad that I could not do my customary "I am the BOW QUEEN" wrapping adornments. I figured they'd get smooshed in transit and just be sad-looking on arrival.

Still, I hope you enjoy the giftees and have a lovely, fun-filled holiday.

I have presents!

I got a lovely calendar, filled with art deco posters of New York City. And yesterday I received a selection of really nice black teas. I’m drinking the pu-erh right now, and it’s delicious!

THANK YOU, SAILAWEIGH!

I'm glad you're enjoying the tea, Tom. I've ordered Adagio teas before and been very pleased with them.

And you're darn lucky you got that calendar; I was tempted to keep it for myself. I have a thing for both art deco and art nouveau. I had a hard time finding an envelope/box that it would fit into; if my roommate hadn't cut down a different box to fit, I was willing to bite the bullet and keep it for myself. :)

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I'm envying your Art Deco calendar. I had one a few years ago, but have not found one since. I'm nuts about it and would cheerfully live in an Art Deco world if I could!

I have not gotten any packages yet but I did get a lovely, teasing card from my Secret Santa, so my hopes are up!

I have most of the shopping done and now must commence with the packaging of my gift to send post haste!

Me too!

The closest I've gotten is going to movies at the Paramount Theater in Oakland, which is pretty much like visiting Art Deco Emerald City. (That's where Matilda is going to see the Nutcracker next week.)

Though picture books of the 1939 Treasure island Exposition are also Art Deco Fantasyland.
