Goodbye and Good Riddance 2012: If the world doesn't end, I'm going to need a note

Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. 2012--better luck next time.

Thrive to spite them

So last night all the presents and temptation were getting to me so I opened Bonny's presents --

It's like Gameapalooza!

So the first present I opened ias Who'se the Banana. Which looks like a silly fun game where one person wins and two people have to compete for the winner to figure out which one is really the banana.

Then - scratch and solve Hangman. Which can be played solo.

Then -- Monty Python flux!! I immediately wanted to play and after talking to Will discovered he's only seen one episode of Monty Python so Monty Python education will begin this mornng with the Holy Grail.

But wait! There's more - a set of dice and playing cards with a dice game explained (and we needed regular playing cards). And just when you think that's it --

Cthulu christmas ornament! Which will hang some where all year round. And Will isn't too familiar with Cthulu so that education will have to begin too.

Thank you Bonny soo much!!

I hope you have hours and hours of fun this year Askye.

Who's the Banana was a toss in recommended by the proprietrix of our local game store, Labyrinth. She loves it, so I hope you do too.

Happy funtime!!

Thrive to spite them

I introduced Will to Monty Python and the Holy Grail and we played the Fluxx game twice - once before he watched and once after. He liked it a lot more and it was a lot of fun.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I usually keep my Python Fluxx in my bag, for emergency game-playing. I got The Castle expansion pack when I was out gift-shopping.

Hooray for enculturation!

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

Last night we played Cards Against Humanity, which requires at least 3 players, and is deeply twisted and fucking hilarious. It's described as "A party game for horrible people. Unlike most of the party games you've played before, Cards Against Humanity is as despicable and awkward as you and your friends." (Which is SO TRUE about this group of friends, I can't even tell you.)

It's a lot like Apples to Apples, if Apples to Apples had been created by Sarah Silverman and Denis Leary.

Steph, I bought that for both my BFF and sister for Christmas. I hope they like it.

It is a LOT of fun, as long as they aren't easily offended.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

You are, but apparently they're sold out? You can buy it directly.

Ha ha ha I don't think Target would ever sell it. I've never played it, but I just hear about it.

Oh, apparently everyone is sold out. So no luck there, I guess.
