sj sent our family a camera for Christmas, and we love her very much, and Kara's winter concert was last night. The snaps came out execrable, because I had the shakes for some reason, but I was able to record a little bit of the last song. I thought you guys would like it. [link]
I see my evil plan worked perfectly. Camera = more pics and videos of Deena's adorable children. Although, that cannot be Kara, because the girl in the video is looking so grown up!
Isn't it adorable? I was off to the side, and she was supposed to be looking forward, but she was so happy to see me being proud of her, you know? She's such a charmer sometimes.
Your evil plan was brilliant, sj. The kids have been making videos too--stories they record and narrate using their toys. I'd try to post them somewhere, but they're unholy long.
Love the video. It continues to prove to me that one of the things missing from my Christmases are concerts performed by the children of loved ones.
Aaawww, Kara! Such a sweet smile.
It's good to see even a few seconds of my girl.
I just finished Cold Kiss - Thank you Secret Santa - so good. Thank you Amy Garvey for writing it.
Now I am mailing a secret santa package for another santa. WHEE!
Secret Santa box hit the post office today. Don't know if it will make it out to my giftee before Christmas. I am proud to say that this year I remembered to put a card with my name on it in the box.
So last night all the presents and temptation were getting to me so I opened Bonny's presents --
It's like Gameapalooza!
So the first present I opened ias Who'se the Banana. Which looks like a silly fun game where one person wins and two people have to compete for the winner to figure out which one is really the banana.
Then - scratch and solve Hangman. Which can be played solo.
Then -- Monty Python flux!! I immediately wanted to play and after talking to Will discovered he's only seen one episode of Monty Python so Monty Python education will begin this mornng with the Holy Grail.
But wait! There's more - a set of dice and playing cards with a dice game explained (and we needed regular playing cards). And just when you think that's it --
Cthulu christmas ornament! Which will hang some where all year round. And Will isn't too familiar with Cthulu so that education will have to begin too.
Thank you Bonny soo much!!
Horizons have been expanded....yeeeessccchhhh!
I hope you have hours and hours of fun this year Askye.
Who's the Banana was a toss in recommended by the proprietrix of our local game store, Labyrinth. She loves it, so I hope you do too.
Happy funtime!!
