I think I heard Hallelujah first is Basquiat, but I don't think that was Jeff Buckley. I honestly don't remember the first time I heard it, but the time it first made me laugh instead of cry was on The OC
I heard the Iz Somewhere.... because my mother heard him at a Jazz Fest.
The saga of the Craigslist table
I think I had my first ever positive selling stuff on Craigslist experience today. We listed a van for sale about 6 weeks ago. It is one of those long 15 seat dealios that DH used both for business stuff and to haul around his basketball team. Anyway, we decided it was more cost effective to sell the thing and just rent one on the few occasions we need it anymore.
So after weeks of emails along the line of "you sound so attractive, why don't we hook up", finally today a for real group of buyers met DH to see (and buy) the van. It was a church group and they needed the van for various youth group trips that they now have to use several vehicles to attend. The kids had been doing the internet search and a couple of them came with the adults to check it out. They were all giggles and stretching out and playing in the seats. DH came away with a cash deposit and we will go to do the title stuff and so forth tomorrow. He just felt so good that it is going to be used for kids activities.
The next person in the CL line replied with "Can you send me a picture of the table? I forgot what it looks like."

Send noooooods. Of the table.

PICS OR GTFO!!!!
I've never actually used that properly. Even ironically properly.
Ah, well.
I think that TV should grab a song from the Bob Marley catalog and blow it up as montage emo music. Failing that--Jimmy Cliff in a pinch. I can get why maybe everyone else not so much, but those two guys are the uber-palatable not even remotely edgy any more travel ads. GO. Someone, please do that.
I think I might have used phone books in Ja. I don't think I've ever had one in this apartment though. I don't feel I have the right substitute for the yellow pages, but I don't think they are what they used to be either.
The other question is when did you first here Jeff Buckley's "Hallelujah" as part of mood music as opposed to as part of a CD you were listening to?
I don't know what was first, but West Wing is the one that sticks with me.
I used phone books when I played contra-bass clarinet in high school... as a booster seat.

How has that not happened already?

Doesn't it sound obvious? I mean, it sounds like something I should totally be mad about...and am lacking the opportunity. Come on! "Exploit! us! I much prefer being mad about things that make Jamaica a profit, and harm no natives.
SyFy has some weird-assed ads that are in the universe of the show, but are ads. So it's not our heroes driving a Subaru, but it's people who say they're going to see our heroes. Okay...
My sketch a day project is really fun. I need to remind myself of that when I'm really exhausted and feel that there's no reason in the world for anyone (least of all me) to draw yet another ship picture. But it actually feels fun to draw a whole new style, and either that or the topic is getting me more favourites on deviantArt than before.
Huh. But even doodling is funner.

I was just weirded out by that very ad! Do not like.
The first time it's perplexing, because the tag is still there, and my reflexes are to watch what has the tag. The second time I just wish torture with eventual death, but not for centuries for all three of them.
Yeah, at first I was thinking maybe it was a preview of next week or something and watched, but who are these people, should i know them? And then it's all about the Subaru and just - I can see where someone thought it was a great idea but it's really not.
