Yes, we left them a message saying "Uh, never mind on that," and called the next person on the list. Who didn't pick up the phone.

Natter 71: Someone is wrong on the Internet
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
This Christmas at my parents' house, because I couldn't get in touch with a friend via fb or her mobile phone. But she wasn't listed, so it was a failed attempt. She did finally call me back later. Before that? No idea.
We do still get phone books delivered , though, which honestly irritates me.
Yeah, there are a bunch of new phone books in the entryway of my appt. building. I decided not to take one because I never use phone books anymore.
I did use the yellow pages fairly often until about 5 years ago.
I've used the yellow pages, too, and I've always liked the civic listings in the front, for police and fire and all that. But those numbers rarely change, so I don't really need a new phonebook every year.
I think I heard Hallelujah first is Basquiat, but I don't think that was Jeff Buckley. I honestly don't remember the first time I heard it, but the time it first made me laugh instead of cry was on The OC
I heard the Iz Somewhere.... because my mother heard him at a Jazz Fest.
The saga of the Craigslist table
I think I had my first ever positive selling stuff on Craigslist experience today. We listed a van for sale about 6 weeks ago. It is one of those long 15 seat dealios that DH used both for business stuff and to haul around his basketball team. Anyway, we decided it was more cost effective to sell the thing and just rent one on the few occasions we need it anymore.
So after weeks of emails along the line of "you sound so attractive, why don't we hook up", finally today a for real group of buyers met DH to see (and buy) the van. It was a church group and they needed the van for various youth group trips that they now have to use several vehicles to attend. The kids had been doing the internet search and a couple of them came with the adults to check it out. They were all giggles and stretching out and playing in the seats. DH came away with a cash deposit and we will go to do the title stuff and so forth tomorrow. He just felt so good that it is going to be used for kids activities.
The next person in the CL line replied with "Can you send me a picture of the table? I forgot what it looks like."

Send noooooods. Of the table.

PICS OR GTFO!!!!
I've never actually used that properly. Even ironically properly.
Ah, well.
I think that TV should grab a song from the Bob Marley catalog and blow it up as montage emo music. Failing that--Jimmy Cliff in a pinch. I can get why maybe everyone else not so much, but those two guys are the uber-palatable not even remotely edgy any more travel ads. GO. Someone, please do that.
I think I might have used phone books in Ja. I don't think I've ever had one in this apartment though. I don't feel I have the right substitute for the yellow pages, but I don't think they are what they used to be either.
The other question is when did you first here Jeff Buckley's "Hallelujah" as part of mood music as opposed to as part of a CD you were listening to?
I don't know what was first, but West Wing is the one that sticks with me.
I used phone books when I played contra-bass clarinet in high school... as a booster seat.

How has that not happened already?
