Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Sorry you had to deal with Dr. Assbutt again, ita.

Compassionately intolerant

Good luck, indeed, ita. I don't get obstructionist medicine. What is the point?

Bonny, are they having sex in Spartacus and Banshee? I mean, the actors are being penetrated and having their genitalia stimulated?

The only thing that is missing, in what I've seen lately is a close up of penis entering orafice. Granted, that is just Banshee...I ran from Spartacus a long time ago.

I suppose there are regulations about actual penetration, but the viewer can't really tell the difference.

Long gone are the days when actors leaned in and the screen faded to corks popping and trains plowing through tunnels.

JFC, ita. I hope your neuro reports Assbutt to the med board.

In this morning's run to the sporting goods store and Target, I observed that perhaps I am the only person in town not wearing Ravens regalia.

And holy shitballs, there's a HUGE flock of starlings in the tree off the kitchen! I don't think I've ever seen this many in one place before.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

In this morning's run to the sporting goods store and Target, I observed that perhaps I am the only person in town not wearing Ravens regalia.

Heh. After the Bruins won the Stanley Cup, I was avoiding the parade downtown, but ended up going past Fenway, where there was a game -- I was definitely the only person I saw not in any kind of sports cosplay.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

the viewer can't really tell the difference

I would imagine you could, since a lot of porn is pretty clear about showing tab A going into slot B, and penises, clitorises, etc being clearly stimulated. That's what makes it porn and not a sex scene. Balls slapping on asses, squirting orgasms, shit like that, no? Or am I watching the wrong porn? Or maybe the wrong pay TV...

As for Santa Monica, that ride is done. The nurse is like "you know what dilaudid feels like going in?" 2mg? Nope. None whatsoever. Might as well be saline. I declined the oral benadryl on the grounds that 2mg of dilaudid won't do shit, including making me itch, and oral benadryl won't do shit, including stopping me itching.

I have no real idea what to do other than sit here--the IM phenergan made my headache worse, and nothing they've given me has made anything better, so not only do we have no information for the home nurse, I'm worse off than when I started. The crisis that wasn't coming until tomorrow looms a little closer on the horizon.

So, yeah, sitting here.

At least I did two sketches of the day yesterday, so I'm not thinking about breaking tat run today.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Ugh, ita. Here's hoping someone steps up and gives you the meds you need.

And The New Normal, though I don't watch that so I don't know how demonstrative that couple might be.

Surprisingly so, most episodes end with Bryan and David in bed cuddling and kissing as they talk through issues. No hot and heavy action, but I wouldn't expect that in a sitcom anyway. I think all the physical affection the gay couples can't show on Glee got transferred to this show instead. You just have to sit through about 20 minutes of Ryan Murphy preachiness du jour to get to it.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Ita, when does Assbutt finish his shift? Wondering if you can go back this late aft.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Ugh ita, I am so sorry to hear that Dr. Assbutt was there to thwart your treatment. He clearly has plans to make a POINT rather than, you know, actually treat the patient. Fucking infuriating. As is your running into bullshit at SM as well. Home nurse and neuro better come through.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I don't know if the home nurse can start if the hospital doesn't observe me getting 6mg. Dr. Assbutt seemed pretty clear about salting the earth at RR UCLAMC, and the doctor here is apparently aware that doling out 6mg in three doses separated by two hours has never worked, and that we're one day before pear-shaped (tomorrow will be a sick day if they continue with this regimen--and of course, the longer she gives me twos, the less able she will be to turn around and give me one dose of six or two of four--she's not just experimenting, she's experimenting destructively.

The nurse appeared sympathetic, but it seems she's gone off shift, and the new nurse keeps using the word "yet" like it's remotely applicable. I just want to be treated, instead of lowest-common-denominator attempts at appeasement.

I am so tired. For a Sunday morning with no deployments I needed to monitor as they were happening--well, I woke up at 0:00 anyway.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

ita !, I'm so sorry.
