"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

msbelle,

why couldn't he have put that in an email to you so you did not have this level of stress for over a day?

I don't understand it.

brillig

Critter ads always make me cry.

re: job messes--there's something to be said for living in an area were the worker-managerial relationship is considered to be essentially adversarial, you don't expect much from the bosses. Consideration and clear communications are then happy surprises.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ugh, I ate too many feelings, and now I feel yuck.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Try a nice wine. I hear there are some good pairings with feelings.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

le n - I think he likes having a scared workforce is all I can think.

I am updating my resume tomorrow and sending out networking emails on linked-in. There are people at the company that are wonderful, but my big boss is the VP over the largest # of staff and he's an ass. I am going to try to get ahead of anything bad and find something better for me.

Also, yeah, there's no way Scandal could maintain this pitch for multiple years. Edit: Without being super-plus ridiculous, I mean. Even Congressional shenanigans would pale. Maybe the Pentagon?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I like the jobs just about every person is doing (well, bar Huck), but everything is so heightened that sustaining or exceeding it seems complex.

I am spending a half an hour on the phone, getting escalated twice, trying to find out why the bank has posted a five dollar posting error correction. I mean hey, free five dollars, but if it's coming from one of the donations, I need to be able to acknowledge that correctly. Seriously, though, five bucks!

Totally. And it feels like there are plenty of developments without wrapping things up too fast. Maybe they needed more MOTW as they went? The overarching stuff definitely could have taken years to come to a head, but now I want it (at least more or less) sorted this season.
