I like the jobs just about every person is doing (well, bar Huck), but everything is so heightened that sustaining or exceeding it seems complex.
Totally. And it feels like there are plenty of developments without wrapping things up too fast. Maybe they needed more MOTW as they went? The overarching stuff definitely could have taken years to come to a head, but now I want it (at least more or less) sorted this season.

I think he likes having a scared workforce is all I can think.
Which is not the smartest move unless you are offering either salary or benefits so good as to make it worth it or if there are no other options for your employees. This guy doesn't sound like either are true. It's just a power thing.
Things I've actually said at work today:
"We don't send ambulances for dogs, but I can find you a number for an emergency animal hospital in the area..."
"How old are you? 148? ....are you feeling confused?"
"unless it devolved into fisticuffs it was a civil issue and you don't need to make a police report."
"anyone remember something about a flash mob stealing loads of pants?"
... and I got home to discover that my seven-year-old dog had chewed up the carpet in the living room.
Because you needed one more thing? Oy.

I was so very pleased to be able to use fisticuffs (in proper context) in the course of a slow, cold call. I even heard the caller chuckle a little. That's rare, I try really hard to never make jokes with callers. It doesn't usually go over well. *kathunk*
Send over them carpet-eating dogs. I need to rip up the carpet in my house so I can't talk myself out of buying new flooring.
I spent $200 on that rug, and it took me a long time to find one I liked in the right color for the room. And now it's rooooned.

Barring that Huck is totally surviving the torture and will be able and willing to continue being a part of the gang , not really. Which is on me because I'm the one who hasn't watched several episodes and they aren't spoilers after they air.
Untrue! At most, the implication is that he's still on the show. Which, sure, I guess that would be future info if you hadn't seen it. (And is half of what you said, but not the other half.)
