Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That is perfect.

I hope Consuela is being "hired" on the spot for her job....

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

This is a cool idea I never would have thought of.

HOWTO recover your stolen car - Boing Boing

Oh, and here’s a tip I hope you never need: if your car is ever stolen, your first calls should be to every cab company in the city. You offer a $50 reward to the driver who finds it AND a $50 reward to the dispatcher on duty when the car is found. The latter is to encourage dispatchers on shift to continually remind drivers of your stolen car. Of course you should call the police too but first things first. There are a lot more cabs than cops so cabbies will find it first -and they’re more frequently going in places cops typically don’t go, like apartment and motel complex parking lots, back alleys etc. Lastly, once the car is found, a swarm of cabs will descend and surround it because cabbies, like anyone else, love excitement and want to catch bad guys. Cabbies know a lot of stuff*. I found a traveling shoplifting ring in Phoenix once. Professional shoplifters always take cabs. So do strippers going to work but that’s another story.

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

Based on my mother's experience, you don't want it back. Thieves got in an accident...damaged the frame and it always pulled to the right, afterward.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I think Timberlake is shooting a video with Jay Z. Our friend Andy is doing props for it. He reports that both guys are surprisingly nice. Jay Z says you should cal him Jay. Timberlake goes by JT.

Well, that was exhausting. And embarrassing, since my land line kept ringing and it turned out to be my parents' attorney. ARGH.

If I get hired, the job will not be the job I've been doing for six years. It will be more boring, and they want me to move over to the other building, which is brown and blah and has no direct sunlight, and no public transit and nowhere decent to eat. Everyone there is supposed to move to my (nice bright accessible) building in October, so why force me to move twice? Also, I love my cubicle with the huge windows and the view of the Bay Bridge.

I'm so peeved about the entire thing, seriously.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

This is surprising to me, because I thought every celebrity in the country was in New Orleans for Superbowl shenanigans!

I would be way more than peeved, Consuela!

Because books.

Oh god, Consuela. I'm sorry.

I'm just so fed up, seriously. And I'm really angry about the bait-and-switch about the job description. They waited until after the opening was announced to change the content of the job, which strikes me as grossly unfair.

I think that's more than unfair. You can't post one job and then tell everyone they're going to be doing something different.
