Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Well, not being as special as people who live in San Francisco, I am clearly compromised.

Suddenly I'm reminded of a friend of the family we had called...Francia? It was pronounced Fran-see-ya, anyway. And I would call her San Francisco in her birthday cards when I was 7 or 8 because I was too embarrassed to ask someone how the fuck her name was spelt. Because that's subtle.

Then again..Jamaicans. And, for instance, Marcia. Daphne we were okay with, but there's another woman's name escaping me, possibly Greek, that we just fucked the shit out of.

I just read about the Brazilian nightclub fire. I actually turned on live TV for ten minutes yesterday, and it was about whether or not J-Law's dress was malfunctioning, and does that make her Oscar chances better. There is no way I'm going to hear about tragedies like this on my own, clearly.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

That's gotta be some kind of record. Go you!

I just saw this NBC report on a Montreal doppleganger exhibit: [link] (#13!). My sister and I had a Montreal doppleganger, so clearly it's all about the location.

Coding and Sleeping

Wow, congrats Amy!

I can't even imagine getting a promotion on day 2, I'd still just be filling out paperwork and watching training videos. "I know this is sudden, but we can't help but notice the way you've been watching the hell out of those orientation courses."

Hey ita, did you see the floods? Apparently part of the reservoir gave way or something and people were being swept down Sherbrooke. [link]

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Allyson, congrats on getting the group thing sorted.

Amy, go you! Quite the meteoric rise!

Scrappy, I'm so glad you're getting a chance to travel. I loved my brief visit to Amsterdam. Awesome museums.

Jesus, brenda! No, canonically uninformed, and stumbling sideways into everything. I better message my Scrabble partner. Now that I've played...after 17 days, maybe he'll be chatty?

Countrywide had training orientation. Like, all the new hires across the company have the same first day. I'm not sure how irrelevant it was for them, but wildly meaningless to me. No other job has told me shit, though. No packets, no guidance, nothing. Here's your computer, login ID, company phone (and not that here), and months before I even see an employee handbook.

Contractor -> perm in 1 week is pretty stellar.

I was just clicking through celebrity breakups and apparently Devito and Perlman were getting back together? Is that true? I hate when comedians divorce. It's not funny.

I'm really disappointed about this [link] though. I need deets.

After the flood info. Will get that first.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It kind of cracks me up that the page says the content is no longer available, but really, how much more is there than what is in the headline and sub-head?

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

That's awesome, Amy! Congratulations!
