At this point, I think I'll say this when I've moved to Fiji. I can't do winter anymore, for real.
Yes, this is when I decided to move to New Orleans. The heat in the summer is much more bearable than the cold of the winter in Boston, where I hear that it is a -6 degree windchill today.
As with Pix, I won't go into the temps for today, but I will say that when it is ~40 degrees, that is "cold" here.
We have actual winter here and it was -36 not too far from here a few days ago but it's supposed to be 70 today.
I decided, after I moved from MN, that I actually like winter and cold temperatures, but not for the long, unbroken 6 months of MN winter. I enjoy it all in small doses.
I talked to my boss today and he said there's one veteran still in the pool with me. And then he asked if I had a Plan B, which is not encouraging.
Consuela, I think at this point you should have said "Shooting spree?"
Seriously.
And then he asked if I had a Plan B, which is not encouraging.
Is that the first time this has come up? My stomach sank when I saw that.

Could Plan B be sueing? Wasn't it their mistake that allowed the job to be listed in the first place?
Holy god Suela. I have no idea how you stay sane and/or polite about this.
13 here, "feels like 7"
57th St has its own private jet stream because of the way the buildings shape wind currents, so whatever the prevailing wind chill it's probably a good 10 degrees colder than that outside my office. (But it's nice in the summer because there's always a breeze.)
Lovely day in S Florida. Come visit. We don't even have earthquakes like fracking Texas.
I overdressed for my office, because I got distracted by the temperature outside and forgot that it hasn't been freezing in here the past week or so (surprisingly). So now my legs are too hot.
We don't control the A/C in our office building and the bank downstairs seems determined to freeze us to death. I am comfy enough, but I had to bring in a small heater for one of the girls here as she was bundled in sweaters all the time. I can't imagine what the electric bill is here. It is like walking into a cold storage unit when you walk into the bank.
I love that I am flying from DC (14 degrees this AM) to Burbank (at least mid 60s). I had such a good week but I cannot wait to be home.
Sparky, I hope everything is okay with your job.
