I don't fancy spending the next month trying to get librarian out of the carpet.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

(But also, there is a point of diminishing returns. A $50 haircut is almost definitely going to look better than a $20 haircut, but will a $300 haircut look *that* much better than the $50 one? I'm not sure.)

Yeah, totally.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

me too.

I also need to make soap, but not from soap nut, I need to grate down some ivory bars and mix with borax and arm & hammer.

The status is NOT quo.

Me three.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I have a haircut scheduled in three weeks. No soap making on the agenda. I'm off to my folks' to spend some quality time watching football.

Oh, hey, it's the anniversary of Ice Cube's Good Day! Hope none of y'all have to use your AKs.

This post brought to you by odd things on -t's calendar.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Really, le n? That's a shame!

Well, I've had a much more productive morning. Worked out why my router was being pissy to my mobile devices. Relearned a song for the next test recording. Laundering the linens.

I still need to work out what went screwy when I rerouted my cables. The piano is working now but no longer the guitar. Vocal is still coming through but I think I'm only hearing the delay, not the actual signal? Rebooting now.

Then tackling housecleaning. I expect my energy to run out around 4:30 or so, so I need to keep moving. Oh, plus I've got to go pick up a couple more 9 volts. I'm always out of 9 volts.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I was just asked to design a show that sounds fascinating and bizarre (they are using Fibonacci spirals to lay out the space and some scenes will take place in a freight elevator). I would've been all over this a year or two ago but I don't know if I can make it work with the "day" job. Hm.

I'm going to buy a new lens that I don't need this morning.

Sure you do. To make more art.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I don't see any virtue in only restricting yourself to things you need.

I can safely say that I'm relieved that expensive haircuts are of no value to me. It's not like they're something you can evaluate before paying for them.

Okay, today I'm really going to do all sorts of practical householdy stuff.
