Does that mean you are all caught up to the current season?
H'm. I have been recently coming to the conclusion that it would be incredibly useful to compile a database of expensive-stuff-that's-worth-it and expensive-stuff-that's-just-expensive.
So far my worth-it list contains expensive shoes (never fall apart, endlessly resoleable and reheelable, end up costing less over a lifetime than any number of cheaper pairs - i.e., the Vimes Boot Theory), expensive champagne, expensive housing and rare first editions (but only if you're buying them for pure love, because aside from insanely rare titles the first edition market has completely collapsed and they're no good as investments -- but they'll never not be grand for pure love). (I've never had any luck with housing or champagne, but diligent thrifting does occasionally lead to spectacular shoe and book windfalls.)
Often-worth-it-but-really-safely-only-on-a-case-by-case-basis list (sometimes well worth it, sometimes beautiful cake but not yours, sometimes sources of very expensive disappointment, and you just have to get recs and sample and hope for the best) includes haircuts, bras, pizzas, restaurant meals, jeans, art supplies and chocolate. (My personal disappointment-to-windfall ratio thus far is incredibly depressing.)
Cost-just-doesn't-reliably-correlate-to-quality list, practically everything else. (Trader Joe's, I love you and your budget-friendly deliciousness forever and ever).
eta: I don't even know where health care, especially pet health care and whacked-out USian human health care, fits. Though "What if it gets sick? How could we manage to do right by the poor thing?" is a huge looming worry every time Matilda begs for a critter.

Yes. 1st episode of current season is now downloading from iTunes.
It's fun to fall in love with a show to the point where you just have to Watch All the Episodes. The last time that happened was with Doctor Who - the first season with Matt Smith. I spent a few months going back an watching the previous new Who seasons.
I am caught up too. I had seen the first season and some of the second, but I rewatched them all anyway.

That happened to me with Buffy when I bought bootleg tapes off some college kid in Nevada for the entire run up through S3 before there were tapes/DVDs out.
The only shows I've really played catch up with lately are Adventure Time and Archer, but now that I have the Netflix/Hulu Plus/Amazon Prime triad I've got all sorts of tempting options.
Whee! It's a fun show that only occasionally makes me grumpy. Good for the both of you.

Heh. I did the exact same thing. 'Cept he wasn't in Nevada. Oh, and just seasons one and two.
Then I broke my ankle and spent a few days just sitting at home with my leg propped up in front of the TV and watched them all.

Yes. And occasionally the sappy stuff makes me cry. Not the relationship stuff; the friendship between Bo and Kenzi.
Kenzi is the bestest.
