Get up...get up, you stupid piece of... What did you do that for? What's wrong with you? Didn't you hear a word he said? All of you! You think there's someone just going to drop money on you?! Money they could use?! Well, there ain't people like that. There's just people like me.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Re: the eyesight correction discussion earlier in the week - I think peripheral vision is never really in sharp focus so wearing glasses instead of contacts shouldn't make it atrophy from disuse, particularly.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OK. I have dealt with a bunch of paperwork and some bills, and am waiting to see if the cable company will transfer my phone number.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

That makes sense, -t.

Okay, I've been more active today than I have been previously, but it's still pretty exhausting. I would like to have the house tidied up by the time the SO gets home on Monday, though. And I should clear up his studio a bit so I can move the Pro Tools rig back in there where it belongs instead of in my office. And I should go through these boxes. And do some data work.

But I might go read Dodger and nap instead.

Trust my rage

One if the things I always stress about is the kids spilling finger nail polish bwell, today it finally happened while Ellie was giving Frisco a pedicure. Sammy got the bottle and in 3 seconds it was everywhere. Amazingly, it was all hard surfaces or skin, with the exception of Sammy's pants (no big deal) and a darling pair of Robeez (baby shoes). The funny part was that I love these shoes and had already lost one and had ordered a replacement pair. So, the shoe is ruined but I already have a replacement handy. Nice to have it work like that.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Devi~ma~Sarameg. I am super impressed that you have been managing to steam a cat. In any way. Impressive, but also sad.

In slightly more uplifting news Eartha Kitt giving James Dean dancing lessons

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Today's one of those crisp, cold days that I love, so I spent about 2.5 hours rambling around in it. I hit the farmers market for handmade fettuccini and small, intense bulbs of garlic, walked up to the hippie co-op for pretty rainbow chard and other goodies, and spent half an hour with the cat on his leash as he stalked various small beasties. I'm a bit bummed that the snow we got Thursday night didn't last, but this was nice, too.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I once spilled nail polish on a cat.

I have my fingers crossed for Devi. I,too am impressed at steaming a cat.

Our wings are not tired.

That whole series of Eartha pictures is spectacular. But yeah, giving James Dean dancing lessons, oh my.
